Job Description

Engineer I – Global Trade Technology

RTX

• Assemble technical data packages and determine export control jurisdiction and classification of technical data and related commodities and software as required • Assist in analysis and interpretation of requirements for “technical data or not” determinations • Ability to process all required export or import documentation for international shipments and review these shipments for any potential export or import classification issues • Responsible for daily classification of commodities using the HTS and Census Schedule B Export Codes • Maintain and update product master database with applicable HTS classifications or export classification determinations • Maintain proficiency with US and International Export and Import Regulations • Understand classification On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics and turn backs • Review of red flags or watch list screening “hits” for escalation in accordance with the Global Trade Guidance, Standard Work and Standard Procedures • Assist with and participate in internal compliance audits and investigations related to export controls

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or any of the Physical Sciences
  • High level communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Extremely detail and process oriented
  • Strong administrative skills: Must be able to manage multiple tasks and adhere to specific timetables
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
