Associate Software Engineer

Role Description Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software to enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial, end-user applications and internal tools that improve efficiencies supporting our diverse industry segments and clients. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. As you advance in your career, the expectation is individuals become thought leaders and communicate those ideas. Duties and Responsibilities - High complexity assignments - augmentation and/or independent segment owner - Moderate complexity assignments - augmentation (1 or >) or owner - Low complexity assignments - owner (1 or >) - May lead another individual - Ability to see whole picture - Complete coding tasks - Evaluate requirements and define code plan - Code quality is consistent from project to project. Has clearly demonstrated quality improvement over a period of time - Code is efficient, secure and supportable - Estimations of tasks - Tasks are required to complete overall project - Work completed follows the software life cycle for production certification Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.
