The Nuclear Physical Security Engineer is a remote based, Rockville, MD or Bellevue, Washington based position that reports directly to the Senior Manager, Security and Safeguards Programs, Regulatory Affairs and Licensing and provides day-to-day support of TerraPower projects and assists in the development of Physical Security Programs to meet established regulatory requirements. The primary focus of this role is to support the development of Physical Security Programs by: - Working in close consultation with Engineering staff to ensure regulatory requirements are identified and implemented. - Assisting in defining and executing the design and licensing strategy for Physical Security Programs. - Developing physical security programs, including Access Authorization (AA) and Fitness For Duty (FFD), across construction, fuel delivery, and operations. - Participating in interactions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, including licensing discussions and preparing/reviewing topical reports.
