• Lead the mechanical discipline on projects of varying size and complexity, managing scope, budget, and schedule • Act as Engineer-of-Record and direct the work of mechanical engineering and design staff • Develop and review technical documentation including: Load calculations, utility assessments, and energy modeling, Design reports, code evaluations, and equipment specifications, P&IDs, plans, schedules, and installation details • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a fully integrated and constructible design • Conduct and lead field surveys, identify non-compliant conditions, and support field reporting • Provide advanced support during construction, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development, and progress reporting • Drive quality assurance through document reviews and technical verification • Mentor and train less experienced engineers and designers • Lead system design programming and master planning efforts • Support proposal development, task planning, and project scheduling in collaboration with Project Managers

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (mechanical focus) from an ABET-accredited program
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience for Lead Mechanical Engineer roles
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience for Senior Mechanical Engineer roles
  • Advanced experience in HVAC, mechanical utility, and piping system design and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and building codes
