Program Director – Aviation
Woolpert
• Collaborate closely with the Aviation Market Director and dedicated aviation staff nationally to deliver goals. • Lead the business growth of key aviation planning and design (horizontal and vertical) services by developing a pipeline of new and existing business/contract opportunities throughout the US. • Drive partnerships with other consultants in the aviation industry to win and perform projects. • Guide growth of the practice based on emerging trends, technologies, policies, and available funding sources that build on our existing reputation and relationships. • Maintain a thought-leader/Subject Matter Expert profile in the industry by providing industry leading customer service to existing and potential clients. • Guide the appropriate level of collaboration between Project Managers and the cross-functional technical (discipline) teams. • Manage, monitor, and forecast metrics including Backlog, Profit and Loss, Sales, Net Revenue, Utilization, Continuing Education, and Non-Billable Travel and Expenses for the Practice. • Lead and support where appropriate all shortlist presentations for prospective clients and participate in contract negotiations with clients. • Provide quality reviews of project documentation including work plans thru final deliverables.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of related work experience leading and developing Statewide Transportation Systems, Planning and Design projects, preferably within the Aviation.
- Hold a current Professional Engineering license.
- Aviation or Airfield Planning/Design Subject Matter Expertise in one or more areas of existing and emerging design and construction solutions which include: Airfield, Vertical, Airport Layout Plans, Master Plans, instrument approaches, site civil grading drainage and utilities, pavements, airfield lighting and navigational aids, facility planning studies and site development.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of FAA Planning and Design Advisory Circulars, etc.
- Experience with public-private partnerships, Geographic Information Systems, and Asset Management desired but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong overarching business acumen required, including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment.
- Quickly adapt and respond to industry changes as well as internal initiatives.
