Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification - Minimum of 6 years of hands-on accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close - Proven proficiency in Xero, including bank feeds, tracking categories, and multi-currency transactions - Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP - CPA qualified or actively pursuing CPA certification is preferred - Experience supporting Australian BAS/GST and/or UK VAT compliance is preferred - Exposure to Looker Studio is an advantage - Experience supporting Australian or UK entities, or within the technology, SaaS, or online marketplace industry is preferred Requirements - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Proactive problem-solving mindset with the confidence to raise issues early and drive process improvements - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote finance team - High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information Responsibilities - Maintain finance email inboxes and process supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and customer receipts accurately and on time - Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations across Australian and UK entities - Manage accounts payable and receivable aging, prepare payment runs, follow up on overdue invoices, and resolve supplier and customer queries - Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support the timely completion of the month-end close - Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation - Reconcile intercompany balances, clear in-transit items, and maintain accurate Xero general ledger coding, GST/VAT treatment, and tracking categories - Prepare monthly management reporting packs using Xero, Fathom, and Google Sheets - Draft profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for review - Support budgeting and quarterly rolling forecasts through data extraction, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting - Maintain the 13-week cash flow forecast - Prepare BAS and VAT working papers and ensure accurate GST/VAT coding - Support payroll, superannuation, and PAYG reconciliations - Assist with year-end audit preparation by compiling supporting documentation and responding to auditor queries - Identify and implement opportunities to streamline transactional and month-end accounting processes - Maintain accounting policies and procedure documentation - Perform ad hoc finance tasks as assigned Benefits - Day 1 HMO coverage with free dependent - Competitive Salary Package - Day Shift schedule - Fixed weekends off - Permanently WFH arrangement - Salary Advance Program through our banking partner (Eligibility and approval subject to bank assessment.
