Role Description The Administrative Associate I will join a highly collaborative and customer-focused Payroll Support team responsible for resolving payroll and timekeeping inquiries through a ticketing system. This role serves as a Tier II support resource, handling escalated cases that require updates, corrections, or deeper investigation across multiple timekeeping platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn complex policies and procedures, comfortable working in a high-volume environment, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. Prior payroll experience is preferred but not required; candidates with strong ticketing, customer service, HR, or call center experience are encouraged to apply. - Review, investigate, and resolve escalated payroll and timekeeping cases through the ServiceNow ticketing system. - Manage a high volume of tickets while maintaining accuracy and service level expectations. - Research and apply payroll, attendance, and timekeeping policies to resolve employee inquiries. - Support multiple timekeeping systems, with initial focus on a primary platform before expanding knowledge across additional systems. - Collaborate with Tier I support teams to ensure timely escalation and resolution of cases. - Document case activity, resolutions, and follow-up actions within the ticketing platform. - Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. - Partner with team members to share knowledge, resolve complex issues, and support department objectives. - Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling employee payroll and timekeeping information. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience working in a customer service, administrative, HR support, shared services, call center, or ticket-based environment. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent written communication abilities. - Ability to learn and apply complex policies and procedures. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Requirements - Payroll, timekeeping, HR operations, or workforce management experience. - Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. - Experience supporting Workday or other HRIS/timekeeping platforms. - Experience using Workday, UKG Dimensions, and/or MyTime preferred. - Knowledge of payroll compliance, attendance, or timekeeping processes. Role Description As an Income & Franchise Tax SALT Manager, you'll work closely with Partners, staff, and clients and be responsible for planning, managing, reviewing, and completing state and local tax compliance and consulting engagements. This individual will play a key role within the SALT practice, providing technical expertise, managing client relationships, and supporting team development. Our professionals have one goal in mind when working with clients — to help them minimize their state and local tax liability while remaining compliant with ever-changing tax laws. In addition to providing income and franchise tax compliance support services, our SALT team advises clients on: - Multi-state tax planning - Nexus considerations - Audit support - Credits and incentives - The state tax implications of business transactions and expansions Duties & Responsibilities - Review multi-state income and franchise tax returns for corporations and passthrough entities. - Lead SALT consulting engagements from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, execution, and timely delivery of services. - Research and analyze state tax issues; prepare technical memoranda and clearly communicate tax positions and conclusions. - Advise clients on filing positions, apportionment methodologies, nexus determinations, credits, and tax planning opportunities. - Respond to notices from state taxing authorities and assist clients with audits and other controversy matters, including voluntary disclosure agreements when applicable. - Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive, high-quality service. - Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand client services. - Supervise and mentor Senior Associates and Associates; review work product and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality and accuracy. - Stay current on legislative and regulatory developments impacting state and local taxation.
