Unified Communications VOIP Engineer – Government Radio Systems
Mission Critical Solutions
• Install, configure, and maintain Mitel Unify OpenScape VoIP platforms at Government facilities worldwide. • Configure users, devices, licensing, server hardware, operating system images, and system updates. • Configure network infrastructure including IP addressing, VLANs, domains, and related network services. • Configure and troubleshoot SIP trunking utilizing Cisco CUBE, Cisco Dial Peers, and related VoIP technologies. • Implement system security hardening in accordance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including STIGs, FIPS, and other security controls. • Integrate the Mitel Unify Xpert application with Government-provided Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems. • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support Government radio platforms including PRC-117G, Motorola APX7500/APX8500, and Motorola CM300/CM350 series radios. • Administer virtualization environments utilizing VMware vSphere/ESXi and Red Hat KVM. • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems including SUSE, Debian, and Ubuntu. • Travel worldwide to support customer installations, upgrades, maintenance, and technical support activities.
Job Requirements
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience deploying and supporting SIP-based Unified Communications and VoIP platforms.
- Experience with Mitel Unify/OpenScape Voice and/or Cisco VoIP technologies.
- Experience integrating Unified Communications systems with Government Land Mobile Radio (LMR) platforms.
- Working knowledge of PRC-117G, Motorola APX7500/APX8500, and Motorola CM300/CM350 radios.
- Experience administering Linux operating systems including SUSE, Debian, and Ubuntu.
- Experience administering VMware vSphere/ESXi and Red Hat KVM virtualization environments.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, VLANs, DNS, routing, and switching concepts.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%, with occasional travel up to 35%, including international Government facilities.
