Job Description

Associate Cloud Engineer

3Cloud

• Codes all unassigned tickets • Initial support and acknowledgement on all alerting tickets both in the ticketing system and Logic Monitor • Creates and manages Microsoft support escalation tickets • Performs VM resizes and new VM creations when time permits • Troubleshoots and re-installs Azure agents for backups and patching • Provides initial support for backup failures tickets • Assists with patching where required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1 - 2 years of Azure experience and have worked with a ticketing system
  • 1 - 2 years of experience with cloud servers, services and software or equivalent system admin experience with on-prem server and virtualization environments
  • Experience in a 24x7 managed services hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment
  • Experience with ITIL processes and associated ITSM systems and service portals for Incident and Change Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS), including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration, supporting and scaling virtual server cloud or on-prem environments and solving network issues
  • Experience with Azure native services (e.g. Policy, Cost Management, Active Directory, Lighthouse, Monitor/Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
  • Understanding of system admin concepts including, but not limited to virtualization, containers, disk storage, encryption, security, network connectivity, firewalls and load balancers
  • Understanding of network concepts and principles and experience in managing and troubleshooting network devices and connectivity
  • Operational knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Kusto-Query Language (KQL)
  • Experience with Azure-based deployments and migrations or other cloud platforms is a plus
  • Having passed Microsoft Azure certification AZ-104 is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for problem solving and learning new technologies
  • Client relationship skills and experience managing vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
