• Develop highly scalable and reliable data systems for data centric products and services on an AWS cloud-based platform • Work closely with Data Science teams creating solutions incorporating Machine Learning algorithms and models using Python with Data Engineering libraries and tools • Deliver reliable and scalable data streaming application functionality • Diligently observe and maintain Standards for Regulatory Compliance and Information Security • Without fail deliver and maintain accurate, complete and current documentation • Contribute to and promote full Agile cycle engagements, including meetings, iterative development, estimations, code reviews and design sessions • Lead, mentor and collaborate with other team members • Collaborate and contribute with architecture, product and design decisions to deliver superior functionality and quality • Timely delivery of documented and tested software to the platform software engineering team • Own deliverables from ideation to production operationalization • May telecommute
Job Requirements
- Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development Staff Engineer Senior-related occupation
- Experience building and testing applications following secure coding practices
- Experience collaborating as a hands-on team member developing and supporting a significant commercial software project in Python
- Experience in developing server-side Python applications using mainstream frameworks, libraries, and tools including Pandas, SciPy, PySpark, and Pydantic
- Experience working with current cloud technologies such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda)
- Experience in SQL and NoSQL based data access and management on PostgeSQL and MongoDb or AWS DocumentDb
- Experience building and supporting commercial systems managing data and transactions including server-side development of Data Flow processes, incorporating Machine Learning models, performing Data Enrichment, and ETL processes
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process and practices (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline/Harness/Jenkins, CLI, BitBucket/Git, etc.)

Role Description - Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range. - Mentor and train less experienced design team members. - Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements. - Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats. - Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD. - Adhere to Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes. Qualifications - BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program. - 10 or more years of transmission design experience. - Proficiency with PLS-CADD software. - Experience must include preparation of scopes of work, development of conceptual designs, determination of design basis, the selection of equipment and materials, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications. - Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 500kV. - Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI. - Experience reviewing design drawings created by others. Requirements - PE license (valued but not required). - PMP certification (valued but not required). - Construction experience (valued but not required). - Familiarity with ArcGIS (valued but not required). - Ability to lead others in using modern tools for engineering problems. - Experience overseeing engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks (valued but not required). - Additional learning in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields (valued but not required).
