Field Service Engineer

• Perform field service as advised by Customer Care in conjunction with the Service Leader. • Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of the current and future Life Science/Diagnostics instrument portfolio. • Provide first-line onsite user training on Life Science and Diagnostics systems. • Organise routine maintenance allocated on a monthly basis. • Ensure that all documentation, circuit diagrams, Service Data Bulletins, and manuals are of the correct revision to undertake service on specific instrument types. • Maintain ancillary documentation, e.g., the Safety Manual and Procedures Manual, to the highest standard, with regular reviews of manuals provided in accordance with the Quality Management System. • Align personal working practices with the department’s performance targets and actively demonstrate compliance with all team targets. • Maintain personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard. • Ensure all anomalies are quickly and effectively reported and resolved. • Ensure all tools and test equipment are adequate to perform the required service and that all test equipment issued is calibrated at the specified times. • Complete all Work Orders and associated documentation within a day of completion. • Ensure all e-learning and expense claims are returned on time. • Perform specific and agreed tasks as defined through the Goal Statements, which are already embedded in the company culture.
Job Requirements
- Relevant education or equivalent experience (e.g., a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Biotechnology).
- Experience in a customer service environment, preferably with Diagnostic and Life Science instrument applications.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong customer service ethic.
- Prepared to travel, with an occasional night away from home might be required.
- Valid full BE/NL driving licence required.

• Provides service and repair of Gas detection equipment and systems. • On-site installation and commissioning, diagnostic troubleshooting. • Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system. • Acts as the company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. • Plan and undertake routine service calls within defined territory. • Ensure maintenance of an appropriate level of spares carried in the company vehicle. • Control individual expenses within agreed budget levels. • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Service Manager.
