Senior Immigration Attorney
A&A Associate
• Develop sophisticated legal strategies that achieve favorable outcomes across multiple immigration practice areas. • Represent clients in immigration matters including, but not limited to: Removal Defense, Family-Based Immigration, Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, Asylum, Humanitarian Relief, VAWA, T Visas, U Visas, SIJS, Employment-Based Immigration, Waivers, Naturalization & Citizenship, Appeals, and Complex Immigration Litigation. • Conduct advanced legal consultations involving highly complex immigration matters. • Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR Immigration Courts, ICE, and other government agencies. • Prepare clients for interviews, hearings, litigation, and appellate proceedings. • Develop creative legal strategies utilizing statutes, regulations, agency guidance, and case law. • Serve as senior legal counsel for complex or high-profile matters. • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, and client advocacy. • Oversee complex legal matters from consultation through final resolution. • Review petitions, motions, briefs, appeals, declarations, and legal memoranda prepared by attorneys and legal support staff. • Conduct advanced legal research involving complex immigration issues. • Develop standardized legal strategies and best practices across the California office. • Mentor Associate Attorneys and newly licensed attorneys. • Partner with executive leadership to support expansion of the Firm's California operations.
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar License in good standing.
- Minimum five (5) years of immigration law experience.
- Demonstrated experience across multiple immigration practice areas.
- Strong litigation, legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Experience representing clients before USCIS and EOIR.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage complex legal matters independently.
- Commitment to ethical legal practice and client-centered advocacy.
- Seven (7) or more years of immigration law experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or Managing Attorney experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success mentoring attorneys preferred.
- Experience managing high-volume immigration legal teams preferred.
- Experience implementing legal processes and quality assurance initiatives preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Experience with Litify or Salesforce-based legal platforms preferred.
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives preferred.
