• Plan, document, and execute functional tests for mobile and web applications • Structure test scenarios using BDD (Gherkin) • Manage test cases, executions, and evidence in Testmo • Validate end-to-end flows (frontend + backend + integrations) • Perform regression and exploratory testing • Validate acceptance criteria with the product team • Report, document, and track bugs until resolution • Support technical refinements with a quality perspective • Participate in agile ceremonies and release planning

• Act as a QA Automation Engineer in the Payments vertical, with a focus on the PIX product. • Develop and maintain test automation for Web, Mobile and APIs. • Define and evolve test strategies to ensure greater coverage, efficiency and quality of deliveries. • Support developers, QAs and QA Leads in promoting Quality Engineering best practices. • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, frameworks and test flows. • Participate in defining and tracking quality metrics and indicators. • Contribute to the test architecture for complex solutions and integrations. • Work closely with Product, Architecture and Engineering teams to promote a culture of quality from the start of development (Shift Left and DevSecOps). • Evaluate and propose new tools, technologies and practices aimed at advancing software quality.

Role Description - Test Planning & Design - Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to design comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Define test scenarios that validate functionality, integration, regression, and end-to-end workflows. - Prepare and manage test data to support manual testing efforts. - Test Execution & Defect Management - Execute manual test cases across web, mobile, and backend systems. - Identify, log, and track software defects using a defect tracking system. - Collaborate with developers and product teams to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues. - Perform regression testing to validate fixes and ensure existing functionality remains stable. - Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to ensure clarity on requirements and acceptance criteria. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. - Provide clear, timely, and detailed test results and quality metrics to stakeholders. - User Experience & Quality Advocacy - Validate that software meets usability, accessibility, and customer experience standards. - Act as an advocate for the end user, ensuring that defects and gaps are addressed before release. - Provide feedback to improve application design, functionality, and performance. - Continuous Improvement - Contribute to refining QA processes, templates, and best practices. - Stay current on industry trends and testing techniques to improve effectiveness. - Support test documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-training within the QA team. Qualifications - Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - 2–4 years of experience in manual software testing. - Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps). - Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development environments. - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and documentation ability. - Preferred: - ISTQB or other QA certification. - Experience testing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, API, desktop). - Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation and back-end testing. - Exposure to accessibility and usability testing. - Understanding of automation concepts and willingness to collaborate with automation teams.

• Lead and coach QEs and SDETs across multiple product teams to ensure alignment with the quality engineering strategy. • Enable consistent application of risk-based exploratory testing by supporting charter creation, context gathering, and story-driven test design. • Drive automation maturity by guiding SDETs in the lifecycle of checks, curation of suites, and ownership responsibilities. • Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align quality activities with delivery goals and risk tolerance. • Partner with automation architects, framework teams, and contract regression staff to ensure layered and sustainable automation coverage. • Establish practices for effective workflow management, including environment lifecycle support, governance, compliance, and incident response. • Tell the quality story through metrics, coverage mapping, and outcome-driven reporting that highlights risk, confidence, and delivery impact. • Mentor team members to develop both technical skills (automation, test design, observability) and strategic skills (risk framing, CAS, quality storytelling). • Foster a culture of responsible testing, innovation, and collaboration across engineering. • Champion responsible AI-assisted quality practices across the SDLC to improve test design, automation opportunities, coverage analysis, and quality artifact generation.
