Intake Care Representative
The Cigna Group
• Serve as a primary contact for incoming DME referrals, providing clear information on pricing, order status, timelines, and qualification requirements • Advance referrals from intake to readiness by reviewing documentation, identifying gaps, and securing required clinical or insurance information • Verify insurance eligibility and financial responsibility using internal systems, payer portals, and outreach to ensure accurate patient records • Create and maintain complete patient accounts, including demographics, documentation uploads, and authorization details • Coordinate intake workflows across calls, emails, faxes, and hospital portals to support timely order progression • Apply Medicare and same-or-similar guidelines to promote accurate and compliant processing • Monitor referral status within hospital and facility systems and communicate updates or next steps • Post payments accurately and support clean, well-maintained account balances • Partner with teammates to balance workload and support continuous improvement
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to manage multiple workflows while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
