We bridge the complex gap between Operational Technology (OT) on the factory floor and Information Technology (IT) in the enterprise, enabling companies to harness their critical data for advanced analytics, AI/ML, and improved operational efficiency. The Role Litmus is seeking a visionary and deeply technical VP of Engineering to lead our world-class, global engineering organization. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role for a leader who thrives on high-velocity execution and technical excellence. You will be responsible for the architecture, development, and delivery of our entire product suite, from the edge to the cloud. You are not just a manager; you are a technical force multiplier, a mentor to your team, and the key driver of our technology strategy and execution. You will command the respect of our engineering team through your technical acumen and your willingness to roll up your sleeves. This role is instrumental in scaling our platform, our processes, and our team as we enter our next phase of rapid growth. What You'll Do Technical Leadership & Architecture: Provide hands-on technical guidance and architectural direction for our complex edge and cloud platform. Lead from the front, diving deep into code, design documents, and architectural debates to solve our most challenging problems. Drive High-Velocity Delivery: Champion and implement highly efficient, best-in-class software development processes (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps) to ensure a culture of rapid, high-quality product delivery and iteration. Build and Mentor World-Class Teams: Recruit, manage, and mentor a top-tier, internationally distributed engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, psychological safety, and continuous improvement. Lead AI Initiatives: Spearhead the strategic vision and execution for integrating advanced AI and Machine Learning capabilities into the Litmus platform, turning massive volumes of industrial data into actionable intelligence. Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the CEO, Head of Product and other executive leaders to define the technology roadmap, anticipate future market needs, and ensure our engineering capabilities are a key driver of our business goals. Scale Engineering Operations: Implement rigorous processes and metrics to ensure the engineering organization can scale effectively and efficiently, managing budgets, resources, and timelines to achieve our ambitious goals. Who You Are Must Haves - Minimum Qualifications 10+ years building complex software; 5+ years leading multi-team orgs at Sr Director/VP level. Former standout IC/coder who can go deep in code/design when it matters. Built/scaled edge + cloud systems and shipped enterprise products at scale. Demonstrated velocity improvements (CI/CD, test automation, observability, DORA). Shipped AI/ML features/platforms with MLOps basics in place. Managed global teams with clear operating rhythms and written culture. Nice-to-Haves: Industrial/OT experience; Yocto/TPM; Kafka/Redpanda; ClickHouse/Timescale; Ignition/OPC UA/MQTT. Bonus Points Direct experience in the Industrial Software space, including IIoT, manufacturing, industrial automation, or OT (Operational Technology) is a significant advantage. Familiarity with our typical stack: C++/Go/Java/Python , Kubernetes , Yocto (edge), gRPC/Protobuf , Kafka , InfluxDB , Postgres , IaC ( Terraform/Helm ), CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions , Gitlab), and observability ( Prometheus/Grafana , OpenTelemetry).
