The AARP Foundation Experience Corps team is looking for you! This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in program management, operations, and data management. We'll challenge you to think and work innovatively on real-world projects. AARP is committed to your growth and cultivating your continued learning and development. This remote paid internship starts in the Summer of 2026 and can continue through the end of the year, with the potential for an extension. This can be a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere in the United States and its territories. - Organize and improve existing program systems, processes, and workflow documentation to create a user-friendly guide for program and site operations. - Develop a system and process to support our networks communication to support collaboration and learning around business operations. - Develop strategies for improving data tracking and usage. - Research and recommend program and technology tools to improve program efficiency, communication systems, and volunteer management—present recommendations to the team for continuous improvement and develop an implementation plan based on these recommendations. - Develop a set of recommendations to improve business operations for Experience Corps program partners. - Participate in team meetings and strategy discussions, collaborate in communications tactics, and engage in a support role for various remote and in-person events. Qualifications - Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college/university, rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post-doctoral students, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship. - Some experience with education, volunteer management, older adults, or technology adoption preferred. - Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities. - Must be a self-starter and adaptable, with the ability to work under tight deadlines. - This position supports people across multiple time zones and requires an understanding of remote and hybrid work. Some evening availability is preferred. - Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and programs, Google Suite, and virtual conferencing tools. - Ability to navigate digital resources and create virtual communication and volunteer management systems. - AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time. Requirements - Regular and reliable job attendance. - Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships. - Independent judgment in evaluation options to make sound decisions. - Home office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate home environment noise. Benefits - The hourly range is $18.40 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. - Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
