• Responsible for system-level configuration of mechanical architectures. • Designing sub-modules needed for the implementation to the system. • Knowledge of methods, techniques and processes with emphasis on practical, applied knowledge using known policies, methods and practices. • Works on New Product Development projects as they transition from concept through release according to internal processes. • Provides input during the specification and design phase of new products. • Defines and completes test plans for mechanical/ mechatronic components, and records the compiled details. • Communicates frequently with project leaders on progress, technical issues and suggest alternative solutions. • Also frequently communicates with GTS, OE and manufacturing project members to provide them with necessary input. • Coordinates external developers work contributing to a particular NPD project. • Takes responsibility for the safety (X-ray, mechanical) around the design and designated prototype/system setups. • Sets up training and coordinates/trains Manufacturing, Sustaining Products and Service personnel in new product build, test, install and repair procedures. • Supports factory and field service engineers with first builds, installs and upgrades of newly introduced systems and modules to ensure proper working order. This may require travel to various customer locations worldwide to support installations and upgrades.

Role Description The Supplier Development Lead (SDL) is a critical forward deployed role within the Global Supplier Development organization, responsible for driving supplier recovery, capability improvement, and sustainable performance. As a Supplier Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our global supply chain by leading supplier development initiatives, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and driving operational excellence. - Lead supplier containment, recovery, and performance improvement activities to resolve quality and delivery challenges. - Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations, ensuring robust and sustainable corrective actions are implemented. - Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and monitor improvement plans and key performance indicators. - Conduct supplier capability and risk assessments, identifying development opportunities and mitigation strategies. - Support supplier capability growth through coaching, maturity assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, long-term monitoring, re-engagement cycles to ensure supplier performance remains stable, best practice implementation. - Lead supplier site identification and prioritize development efforts aligned with risk, impact, and strategic commodity needs. - Lead or support supplier transitions and industrial transfers, ensuring operational readiness and business continuity. - Execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product introductions and supplier transitions. - Develop, standardize, and improve manufacturing process documentation and quality tools, including PFMEA and Control Plans. Qualifications - University degree with 7+ years of relevant professional experience. - Strong knowledge of Machining and Mechanical Fabrication manufacturing processes. - Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. - Proven expertise in RCCA, APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans. - Strong project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Willingness to travel to supplier sites (approximately 50% of the time).
