Role Description The Supplier Development Lead (SDL) is a critical forward deployed role within the Global Supplier Development organization, responsible for driving supplier recovery, capability improvement, and sustainable performance. As a Supplier Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our global supply chain by leading supplier development initiatives, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and driving operational excellence. - Lead supplier containment, recovery, and performance improvement activities to resolve quality and delivery challenges. - Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations, ensuring robust and sustainable corrective actions are implemented. - Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and monitor improvement plans and key performance indicators. - Conduct supplier capability and risk assessments, identifying development opportunities and mitigation strategies. - Support supplier capability growth through coaching, maturity assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, long-term monitoring, re-engagement cycles to ensure supplier performance remains stable, best practice implementation. - Lead supplier site identification and prioritize development efforts aligned with risk, impact, and strategic commodity needs. - Lead or support supplier transitions and industrial transfers, ensuring operational readiness and business continuity. - Execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product introductions and supplier transitions. - Develop, standardize, and improve manufacturing process documentation and quality tools, including PFMEA and Control Plans. Qualifications - University degree with 7+ years of relevant professional experience. - Strong knowledge of Machining and Mechanical Fabrication manufacturing processes. - Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. - Proven expertise in RCCA, APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans. - Strong project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Willingness to travel to supplier sites (approximately 50% of the time). Requirements - Experience in the aerospace or defense industry (nice to have). - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies (nice to have). - Experience leading supplier recovery, industrialization, or work transfer projects (nice to have). - Experience working within a global matrix organization (nice to have). Role Description AECOM is seeking to hire a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Data Center and Mission Critical team for our east region. The ideal candidate for this position should be familiar with the tech sector, mission critical and data center industry, understanding the requirements of scale, speed, and consistency in data centers. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the US where AECOM has an office. Responsibilities - Data Center Heat Rejection and HVAC System Design: - Developing and designing Heat Rejection and HVAC systems specifically tailored for data centers. - Considering factors such as type of cooling requirement, associated cooling loads, future flexibility, airflow management, humidity control, system redundancy, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. - Cooling System Selection: - Selecting appropriate air/water side cooling systems for data centers based on specific cooling requirements. - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis: - Conducting internal CFD simulations to optimize airflow distribution and ensure efficient cooling. - Preparing and/or directing preparation of models and analyzing results to recommend design modifications. - Redundancy and Fault Tolerance: - Designing HVAC systems with redundancy and fault-tolerant features to ensure continuous operation. - Heat Load Calculation and Capacity Planning: - Performing heat load calculations for data centers to determine cooling requirements. - Conducting capacity planning to ensure the HVAC system can accommodate future expansions. - Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: - Implementing energy-efficient HVAC design strategies to minimize energy consumption. - Air Quality and Filtration: - Ensuring the data center's air quality is maintained at optimal levels by designing appropriate filtration systems. - Coordination with Electrical and Mechanical Systems: - Collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate the heat rejection and HVAC system seamlessly.
