The candidate should be able to work independently and be self-driven. The candidate should have demonstrated success promoting software solutions, bringing in qualified leads to the Account Executives. The candidate should be competitive, self-driven and possess a natural curiosity. The role will require a comfort level in a variety of settings, ranging from spending time alone researching, to making discovery calls and promoting events. The successful candidate must be able to understand and convey the benefits of the Irth offerings. Experience in SaaS is a must, with specific domain experience in work management or field service software being a bonus. Expectations and Responsibilities: - Develop pipeline by researching, cold calling, and executing email campaign strategies - Learn a multifaceted product suite and drive sales across North America, Europe, and Latin America - Qualify inbound opportunities and develop a strong pipeline for Account Executives - Meet monthly and quarterly qualified pipeline goals - Log all activities in Salesforce and HubSpot; and validate/correct contact data housed within the CRM - Coordinate lead processing with support from Marketing for all campaigns and conferences - Manage pre and post conference + webinar outreach for existing and new customers - Provide market intel based on information gathered - Work with Account Executive to develop and execute strategic attack plans for new logos - Participate in required business events, conferences, trade shows and seminars - Ability to travel occasionally, typically 10% - Bring a warm and friendly presence who is a self-starter, driven, hungry, and will ask questions – You will often be the first impression of our company! Role Description The primary focus of the Director of Federal Business Development – Maritime Programs is expanding Marine Group Boat Works’ presence with the U.S. Navy, including opportunities administered by NAVSEA, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), other Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), and major defense contractors. In addition, this position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing strategic growth opportunities with the U.S. Coast Guard and other federal maritime agencies where Marine Group Boat Works’ capabilities provide a competitive advantage. This is not a traditional proposal-writing or RFP-response role. The primary purpose of this position is to identify, qualify, shape, and capture opportunities well before they reach solicitation. The role will focus on expanding Marine Group Boat Works’ federal footprint through opportunities involving: - Vessel repair - Maintenance - Modernization - Ship alterations - Installation work - Waterfront services performed both within our shipyard and at government facilities, naval bases, Coast Guard installations, and aboard government vessels throughout the United States and abroad, including both CONUS and OCONUS work opportunities.
