Role Description The Payroll Services Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of Dayforce Consulting Services engagements, leveraging Dayforce solutions to meet customer requirements while providing oversight and direction to project team members. This role is recognized as an expert in HCM consulting with a strong SaaS technology foundation and has participated in multiple projects of varying size and complexity while consistently delivering successful outcomes. Working independently with customers, the Payroll Services Consultant influences project success across a broad range of consulting activities and serves as a trusted advisor who enjoys coaching and developing others. What You'll Get to Do - Lead consulting engagements that help prospects and customers understand how Dayforce will transform HR service delivery, including business processes, policies, user experience, organizational design, governance, business cases, reporting, and analytics. - Ensure a seamless knowledge transfer process to the Dayforce Implementation team. - Serve as a subject matter expert on strategic implementations and support projects across various industries and levels of complexity. - Lead internal and external project and design meetings while providing status updates on consulting activities and deliverables. - Conduct peer reviews and other quality assurance activities. - Lead or support Organizational Readiness engagements and provide guidance for Dayforce rollout planning. - Build credibility and strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. - Lead challenging customer conversations with professionalism and confidence. - Make recommendations that support customer and project success, even in complex situations. - Manage multiple customer engagements and competing priorities simultaneously. - Design and document solutions while contributing to the consulting solutions repository. - Develop and share best practices across the Consulting Services organization. - Lead the Subject Matter Expert (SME) program in at least one area of expertise, such as Payroll, HR service delivery, Dayforce, or Talent Management. - Participate in process improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities. - Complete product release training and maintain expertise on new and enhanced functionality. - Mentor team members on HCM best practices, new product capabilities, and implementation approaches. - Support the sales cycle through solution reviews, scoping, estimation, and consulting expertise. - Participate in customer and prospect discussions regarding Dayforce solutions and implementation strategies. - Travel to customer sites as required (up to 25%). Qualifications - Bilingual in English and French. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree or postgraduate coursework is an asset. - Minimum 3 years of HCM consulting experience with a focus on Payroll, preferably with an HCM software provider or consulting organization. - Canadian payroll expertise required; U.S. payroll experience is an asset. - Minimum 2 years of HCM implementation or applications consulting experience. - Experience with business process mapping, organizational readiness, and technology enablement. - Experience with change management is an asset. - Expert-level knowledge of HR operations and business practices. - Advanced knowledge of HCM SaaS solutions and implementation methodologies. - Dayforce product knowledge and an understanding of module interdependencies and data flows is preferred. - Ability to simplify complex business and technical requirements. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. - Strong understanding of industry best practices and customer business processes. - Excellent customer relationship management and business acumen. - Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. - Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. - Ability to facilitate customer workshops and internal sessions. - Ability to mentor junior consultants through peer reviews and quality assurance activities. - Demonstrates Dayforce values and serves as a role model. - Ability to provide consulting guidance during the sales cycle. - Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
