Senior Cloud Applications Engineer
Akamai Technologies
• Developing cloud-native microservices and backend components in Golang • Building and maintaining SaaS infrastructure and services for scale and resiliency • Working with GCP, Kubernetes, and Linode, including development of Kubernetes operators • Using Helm, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and other modern tooling to support deployment and automation • Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and product managers to drive features end-to-end • Taking ownership of system design decisions and contribute to the long-term technical roadmap
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Have extensive knowledge and experience of GCP stacks, Linux, cloud technologies, and network Infrastructure
- Have experience with CI/CD methodologies and best practices (GitHub/CircleCI Actions)
- Have experience in container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Demonstrate prior experience building production systems, highly available and service-oriented.
