Role Description The Senior Project Manager plays an integral role in our delivery organization by bringing structure, clarity, and control to complex Microsoft delivery engagements. The role is accountable for successful client outcomes, predictable execution, financial control, and alignment to business value using Hitachi Solutions’ delivery methodology. This role is intended for an experienced consulting PM who can quickly stabilize delivery, lead with transparency, and operate as a trusted client and internal governance lead. The Senior Project Manager will serve as a project delivery leader, bringing together cross-functional talent from delivery, architecture, functional, technical, offshore, PMO, and client teams. In this role, you are expected to establish ownership, maintain disciplined plans and forecasts, use KPIs to drive proactive action, escalate early, manage scope and change through process, and demonstrate commercial judgement in decisions that affect margin, risk, and client outcomes. Role is Remote - Must have authorization to work in the USA or Canada. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for: - Owning end-to-end delivery of large, complex projects that align to organizational objectives and client business outcomes. - Working with client and internal stakeholders to establish clear ownership, decision rights, communications cadence, project goals, success criteria, and priority trade-offs. - Facilitating risk, issue, and dependency management with proactive mitigation plans, get-to-green actions, business-impact clarity, and early escalation where delivery or commercial outcomes are at risk. - Applying Hitachi Solutions delivery methodology, stage gates, project health reviews, and standard delivery practices while continuously improving execution quality. - Managing project budgets of $2M - $10M+ with disciplined forecasting, budget-vs-actual review, estimate-at-complete awareness, margin protection, and proactive action on financial variance. - Identifying scope movement, leading re-estimation when needed, and estimating, creating, and delivering Change Orders with clear client alignment and commercial rationale. - Leading or supporting Steering Committee governance, stage-gate readiness, executive status reporting, decision management, and value/outcome alignment as required by the delivery process. - Providing clear, transparent, action-oriented communication to customers and internal Hitachi Solutions stakeholders on progress, risks, decisions required, delivery challenges, and corrective actions. - Contributing to PMO and Delivery Excellence process improvement by capturing lessons learned, improving reusable delivery practices, and adopting standard tools, templates, and reporting discipline. - Providing first-line project escalation support to the team, establishing accountability, coaching delivery behaviors, resolving conflicts, and helping address capability or execution gaps. - Leading teams through ambiguity while maintaining delivery control, driving timely decisions, balancing competing priorities, and reinforcing execution discipline under pressure. Qualifications - Minimum of 10+ years of professional services project management experience, preferably in complex consulting delivery roles requiring rapid ramp-up and independent execution. - Proven project management experience implementing ERP, CRM, Dynamics 365, Azure, and/or broader cloud solutions in a client-facing consulting environment. - Proven experience managing multi-platform, multi-workstream projects across onshore, offshore, client, and delivery teams. - Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, business and IT executives, customers, vendors, and internal delivery leadership through clear, concise, action-oriented reporting. - Strong balance of business acumen, commercial judgement, stakeholder leadership, and team leadership without relying on formal authority. - Applied experience with project management principles and delivery approaches such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, CPM, Waterfall, hybrid delivery, and standard governance controls. - Proven success delivering measurable project outcomes in a consulting environment, including predictable execution, client trust, scope control, and financial discipline. - Proven success leading teams of 20+ consultants across multiple time zones, including offshore resources, with clear ownership, cadence, and accountability. Role Description Novotech is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of global clinical trials from study start-up through close-out. As the primary point of contact for sponsors, you will oversee project planning, execution, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure studies are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with ICH-GCP, applicable regulations, and Novotech SOPs. This role requires a proactive leader with strong stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities - Project Leadership - Lead the end-to-end delivery of clinical studies from feasibility and site selection through study close-out. - Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and study tracking tools. - Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biometrics, Medical, Pharmacovigilance, and Vendor Management. - Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful study delivery. - Ensure projects are conducted in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP, local regulations, and company SOPs. - Client & Stakeholder Management - Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors throughout the project lifecycle. - Build strong client relationships through regular communication, project updates, and proactive issue resolution. - Lead project meetings, governance calls, and contribute to bid defence meetings where required. - Collaborate with Business Development during feasibility assessments and change order activities. - Financial & Operational Management - Manage project budgets, revenue forecasts, profitability, and financial performance. - Monitor project scope and coordinate change orders as required. - Ensure appropriate project resourcing and support effective workload planning. - Oversee vendor selection and management to ensure quality delivery. - Site & Study Management - Oversee site selection, activation, recruitment, monitoring, and study close-out activities. - Support ethics and regulatory submissions in collaboration with Clinical Operations and Regulatory teams. - Monitor recruitment performance and implement strategies to improve enrolment and site performance. - Ensure inspection and audit readiness throughout the study lifecycle. - Leadership & Continuous Improvement - Lead, mentor, and support cross-functional project teams, including Associate Project Managers. - Foster collaboration, accountability, and high-performance project execution. - Contribute to process improvements, SOP development, and operational excellence initiatives. - Represent Novotech professionally with sponsors, investigators, and industry stakeholders. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline. - Significant experience in clinical project management within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment. - Strong understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle, including study start-up, site management, recruitment, data management, and study close-out. - Comprehensive knowledge of ICH-GCP, global clinical trial regulations, and sponsor requirements. - Proven experience managing cross-functional global clinical teams, budgets, timelines, and project risks. - Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trusted sponsor relationships. - Experience with CTMS, eTMF, Microsoft Office, and other clinical trial management systems. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
