Role Description As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our mission-critical healthcare applications. You will function as a developer focused on testability, working alongside feature developers to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline. Your role is to shift testing "left," identifying defects early through code-driven validation, performance scripting, and architectural analysis. Work Location: Remote, India Work Mode: Remote Work Hours: 7pm IST to 4am IST Qualifications - 4–6 years in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Automation Engineering. - Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for web automation. - 2–4 years of strong hands-on experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript (Node.js). - Proficiency in Shell scripting, XML, and writing complex SQL queries for Oracle or MS SQL Server. - Deep understanding of testing in SOA or microservices environments using tools like Postman or RestAssured. - Knowledge of Docker containerization and managing test agents in virtualized environments. - Experience with version control (Git/Bitbucket) and CI/CD workflow integration. - Knowledge of data privacy frameworks such as HIPAA or GDPR. Requirements - Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus. - Exposure to public health systems or working in highly regulated industries is a strong plus. - Familiarity with database administration (Oracle/SQL) and network infrastructure. - Knowledge of specialized frameworks such as Six Sigma, CMM, or ISO9000. - ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or similar certifications. - Experience running automated tests in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments. - Previous experience in Public Health or highly regulated SaaS environments. - Basic project management skills. • Acts as a senior embedded agile team member, providing technical leadership in sprint planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring sprint and release quality objectives are met. • Leads the application and evolution of HES Quality Assurance standards, including test stage ownership, entrance/exit criteria, Definition of Done, and audit readiness across teams. • Owns test strategy and approach for assigned products or initiatives, ensuring appropriate coverage across functional, integration, regression, performance, and risk-based testing. • Designs, develops, and maintains robust, scalable automated test solutions using approved frameworks and tools (e.g., PlayWright, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Rest Assured, Allure), supporting UI, API, batch, and data validation testing. • Leads and evolves automation strategy and regression suites, identifying opportunities to improve stability, execution speed, maintainability, and overall return on investment. • Integrates and maintains automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, supporting sprint level and release level quality gates using Azure DevOps and related tooling. • Oversees test management and governance within Azure DevOps, ensuring high quality test artifacts, traceability, execution evidence, and meaningful reporting. • Provides technical mentorship and coaching to Test Engineers and team members, promoting testing standards, best practices, and modern methodologies (e.g., BDD, TDD, exploratory testing and shift left testing). • Collaborates with product owners, architects, developers, and stakeholders to identify quality risks early, influence design for testability, and drive defect prevention. • Leads or supports complex production issue investigations, including root-cause analysis, validation of fixes, and recommendations for quality improvements. • Communicates testing status, quality risks, and recommendations clearly to leadership and stakeholders, escalating issues that may impact delivery timelines or product quality. • Contributes to process improvement initiatives, tooling enhancements, and shared utilities that strengthen Quality Engineering capabilities across teams. • Actively participates in Communities of Practice and remains current with industry trends, emerging tools, and quality engineering practices to continuously elevate HES QA maturity.

• Join our team supporting USTRANSCOM's Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) • Lead end-to-end test automation efforts for a large-scale SAP implementation • Partner with cross-functional teams—including developers, business analysts, and product owners • Architect and maintain sophisticated automated test suites covering SAP workflows, system integrations, and custom extensions • Perform Section 508 compliance validation using ANDI and Lighthouse tools to meet federal accessibility mandates • Document defects with detailed reproduction steps, track issues to resolution, and communicate findings effectively • Work closely with SAP and Mendix developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data sets, and traceability matrices aligned with SAFe Agile practices • Actively engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies • Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and quality assurance practices
