Field Service Engineer

• Ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment • Troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs • Providing excellent service to customers • Maintaining accurate customer service logs and internal service records • Utilizing business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their requirements
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 3+ years’ experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation OR Associate’s Degree / Military experience with 1+ years’ experience OR Bachelor’s Degree (engineering, lab, mechanical, electrical or similar fields)
- Travel up to 65%-75%
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb

• Install, convert, troubleshoot, repair, and remove Aristocrat gaming machines, signs, and gaming controllers • Perform routine maintenance on gaming machines • Respond promptly to customer calls and emergency requests • Complete Pre-Site Surveys, follow the schedule, and perform service activities assigned • Maintain inventory accuracy and follow the parts inventory process • Support customers with technical inquiries and documentation • Report on trends, needs, and service challenges • Review pre-install documents to determine if parts will be needed to complete the installation • Gather and report accurately on service activities using field service management reporting tools
• Conduct on-site installation of sophisticated equipment and follow testing procedures to ensure accurate working order • Conduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance visits • Provide diagnosis and repair support for customers and other field personnel • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users, and company personnel • Travel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnel • Complete and submit field service reports • Provide training to customers and users on system maintenance • Provide feedback to product quality teams • Provide appropriate input in writing updating and correcting various Thermo Fisher system documentation • Provide guidance for various reports including identifying and isolating outstanding problems with the system • Act as a subject expert and resource for training
