Senior Corporate Accountant

• Contributes to financial close cycles, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and preparation of information needed for GAAP and Statutory reporting requirements. • Researches and prepares financial reports fluxes on a monthly basis. • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and assists other analysts, consultants and managers with complex analysis. • Reviews customer contracts for proper set up and accounting treatment. • Performs deferred revenue reconciliations and other GL reconciliations. • Shares knowledge with others including recommending process improvements and automation. • Performs a variety of complicated tasks, and may lead and direct the work of others. • Able to manage multiple, often competing priorities.
Job Requirements
- BA degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience preferred
- Good understanding of accounting principles including ASC 606
- Advanced Excel Skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query a plus)

• Review the work of entry-level staff members and provide feedback for corrections and process improvements. • Perform advanced accounting tasks and analyses to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. • Assist in the successful execution of the monthly close process, including preparing complex journal entries, monitoring sub-ledger interfaces, and ensuring the timely analysis, preparation, and submission of close-related deliverables. • Reconcile corporate cash activities and the intercompany cash netting process by coordinating with the Cash and Treasury teams and resolving issues in a timely manner. • Perform variance analyses related to system reconciliations and ad hoc requests, providing timely support and explanations to stakeholders. • Assist with the global intercompany reconciliation process by monitoring and resolving intercompany mismatches that impact the financial close. • Collaborate with offshore team members by reviewing deliverables, providing feedback, and supporting the accurate and timely completion of assigned activities. • Identify and implement automation opportunities within BlackLine to enhance the close process and improve operational effectiveness. • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, accounting policies, and U.S. GAAP. • Assist with internal and external audit requests, tax reporting requirements, and the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation. • Maintain strong working relationships with business unit finance teams and other stakeholders while supporting cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.
• Support financial operations for Brazil with specialized responsibility for intercompany accounting, tax, and fiscal operations • Lead month-end close activities and financial reporting • Manage multi-currency accounting activities and prepare variance analysis • Maintain intercompany standing data and execute intercompany transactions • Collaborate with local finance teams, Treasury, and Tax
