Senior Data and Business Analytics Consultant

Allstate

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities • Gather, document, and clarify business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions • Lead initiatives in defining KPIs, metrics, and success measures for business initiatives • Support process improvement efforts by identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending solutions • Create business requirement documents, user stories, process flows, and presentations • Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to answer business questions • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau • Monitor business and operational performance metrics and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities • Conduct root-cause analysis to support decision-making and problem resolution • Present findings and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly manner • Work closely with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, and operations partners • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions • Support implementation and adoption of data-driven solutions • Validate data accuracy and investigate data quality issues

Job Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, reporting, or a related field
  • Basic proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Experience with Excel and reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Preferred: Experience with Python, R, or other analytical tools
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management concepts
  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
  • Experience creating dashboards and executive reporting
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of data modeling, databases, or cloud analytics platforms
