Supplier Quality Representative

Role Description In this role, you will represent Bechtel as the supplier's project quality point of contact. You will perform quality surveillance and hands-on inspections to verify that supplier equipment, material, documentation, and personnel activities conform to the requirements of procurement documents. You will work with supplier representatives to ensure requirements are understood and implemented. Major Responsibilities - Represent Bechtel as the supplier’s prime contact with respect to supplier quality on small-sized projects. - Perform quality surveillance activities defined by the assignment scope to verify that supplier furnished equipment and material conforms to procurement document requirements. - Review procurement document requirements with supplier representatives to ensure understanding and implementation. - Monitor supplier personnel activities including witnessing operations, inspections, examinations, or tests to verify procurement document requirements have been met. - Perform hands-on inspections to verify the efficacy of supplier inspection efforts and assure conformance of equipment or materials to procurement document requirements. - Review supplier-generated quality verification documentation for conformance to procurement document requirements. - Reject nonconforming material and collaborate with the supplier and project supplier quality personnel for satisfactory disposition of disclosed non-conformances. - Release conforming material for shipment and notify other Bechtel functional organizations to assist in coordination of their activities. - Evaluate supplier’s conformance to specified quality criteria on specific assignments to provide input for future order placements. - Conduct surveys or audits of suppliers when assigned. - Participate as an audit team member or technical resource for nuclear material and/or quality program audits. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Requirements - Possess technical knowledge. - Knowledge of commodities, market, and suppliers in Chile. - At least 10 years of knowledge and experience in EPC projects is required. - Knowledge and handling of the Aconex platform. - Handling of Windows systems. - Intermediate level of English.
