As the Head of Finance at Breeze, you’ll lead the financial operations that power our growth and ensure our systems, reporting, and controls scale with the business. You’ll own accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational finance, partnering directly with the CEO to drive financial strategy and support company-wide decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, enjoys building processes from scratch, and has strong experience in fintech and scaling startups. You’ll help build the foundation of our finance function as we continue to expand. What You’ll Do Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger management, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly close. Ensure accurate and timely consolidated financial statements across multiple entities. Manage internal financial controls and support audit readiness, including experience with SOC 2 or similar audits . Build and scale financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks to support rapid growth. Lead FP&A , including forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and headcount planning. Provide strategic finance advisory to the CEO, supporting capital allocation, business planning, and long-term financial strategy. Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, and business teams to align financial insights with company objectives. Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners to ensure smooth reporting and filings. Has been the most senior finance person at a company, or direct report to CFO at larger scale Develop internal dashboards and models to support leadership decision-making. Experience scaling finance operations through hypergrowth and building finance teams Support corporate development activities (nice to have), including evaluating partnerships, investment opportunities, or acquisitions. What We’re Looking For An active accounting license preferred (e.g., CPA or equivalent international certification). 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally within fintech or a high-growth scale-up . Deep experience with reconciliations, audits, and financial control environments. Experience preparing for and supporting SOC 2 audits, including designing financial controls and evidence collection processes Familiarity with multi-entity reporting and consolidation (nice to have). Strong experience in FP&A, headcount planning, and strategic finance . Experience building or scaling a finance team in a startup environment. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. A proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused mindset.
