Role Description The main function of a Supply Chain Analyst is to define, build, manage and measure global asset management. A typical Supply Chain Analyst may be responsible for buying goods and services, and analyze performance of suppliers. Job Responsibilities - Lead the technical development of innovative inventory planning and logistics processes. - Review and potentially optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors. - Own the end-to-end asset management process and systems globally. - Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. - Drive automation on an aggressive timeline with a team of world-class engineers and designers. - Develop and maintain a well-coordinated internal relationship with key decision makers and with the wider enterprise organization. - Approve purchases of the highest quality products at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts. - Approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services. - Instruct staff on how to resolve problems related to undelivered goods. - Instruct staff on methods of negotiation, renegotiation and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives. - Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. - Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes. Qualifications - Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data. - Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. - Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing. - Knowledge of supply chain management. - Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Typical Day-to-day Role - Drive Material Readiness & Clear-to-Build (CTB) Schedules: Proactively manage and track material readiness to ensure on-time build schedules. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to clear material shortages and maintain CTB status. - Purchase Order (PO) Management: Oversee the end-to-end PO process, including issuing POs, following up on quotes from suppliers, tracking PO status, and ensuring timely closure. Work closely with suppliers (ODMs) and internal stakeholders to resolve any blockers. - Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks. Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to the program management (PM) and core teams. - Demand & Supply Alignment: Support program management by aligning demand and supply, ensuring that material requirements are met for program milestones. - Performance Metrics: - On-Time Delivery: Track and drive team performance to meet on-time delivery targets. - First-Time Right: Strive for accuracy and completeness in all supply chain activities to minimize rework. - Material Shortage Resolution: Monitor and report on the timely clearance of material shortages.
