Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing Legal team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced High-Tech/technology and payments lawyer. As a commercial lawyer, you will be working on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including services agreements and vendor agreements, privacy issues and payments matters, as well as other general corporate law advice. You will: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal contracts with clients, partners, vendors, and third parties (services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, SaaS agreements). Advise on payments laws and work closely with the product and payments teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and payments licenses. Keep up to date and analyze global privacy regulations to ensure continued alignment of the company’s products and data processing to such regulations. Interact and work with the company's departments (sales, product, marketing, finance) on diverse legal issues. Perform and provide other general corporate law advice as needed. Salary Range: $160,000- $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements

  • This role is based in New York (hybrid)
  • A New York licensed attorney with minimum 4 years experience as in-house counsel for a Hi-Tech/Fintech company or prominent law firm.
  • Proven legal experience in the field of payments and privacy.
  • Fluent English (written and oral).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Multi tasker, self-motivated and persistent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
