Role Description The Head of US HCP Marketing will lead U.S. healthcare professional (HCP) marketing strategy and execution for Abivax's lead investigational therapy for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This individual will be responsible for driving brand planning, HCP engagement, launch readiness, and commercialization efforts to support the successful introduction and long-term growth of obefazimod in the U.S. market, pending approval. The role will lead the development and execution of integrated HCP marketing strategies spanning personal promotion, omnichannel engagement, digital marketing, peer-to-peer education, congress activation, and field force readiness. Leveraging customer insights, market intelligence, and competitive dynamics, this leader will create differentiated engagement plans that deliver impactful customer experiences and support brand objectives. As a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team, the Head of HCP Marketing will partner closely with Patient Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Leadership, Regulatory and Legal, and Commercial Operations to drive an integrated stakeholder engagement strategy and ensure consistent execution across customer touchpoints. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping launch strategies, advancing commercial readiness, and leading cross-functional brand planning to support successful commercialization. The position will also be responsible for building and leading a high-performing marketing team, developing commercial capabilities, and ensuring executional excellence throughout the pre-launch, launch, and growth phases of obefazimod. Responsibilities, Assignments, and Tasks - Lead HCP Marketing Strategy - Develop and execute the U.S. HCP marketing strategy for obefazimod, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, launch milestones, and long-term commercial goals. - Translate clinical data, brand strategy, and customer insights into differentiated engagement strategies for gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and other members of the IBD care team. - Define customer segmentation, targeting, messaging, and omnichannel engagement strategies to maximize awareness, adoption, and brand performance. - Leverage market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and analytics to optimize marketing strategy and measure commercial impact. - Partner with Patient Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to deliver coordinated HCP, patient, and stakeholder engagement strategies across the treatment journey. - Ensure consistent brand messaging and integrated execution across all HCP-facing channels and customer touchpoints. - Lead HCP Engagement, Launch Readiness, and Field Marketing - Lead the development and execution of HCP promotional and engagement strategies that support launch readiness and successful commercialization of obefazimod. - Oversee the development of promotional materials, peer-to-peer education, speaker programs, and field resources that deliver compelling, compliant customer engagement. - Partner with Sales Leadership, Commercial Excellence, and Medical Affairs to ensure field readiness through aligned messaging, training, scientific communications, and execution planning. - Lead congress marketing strategy and execution to maximize customer engagement before, during, and after key gastroenterology and IBD scientific meetings. - Support National Sales Meetings, launch meetings, and other commercial forums that drive organizational alignment and commercial excellence. - Lead Omnichannel and Digital Engagement - Develop and execute an integrated omnichannel strategy that delivers a seamless, customer-centric experience across personal and non-personal channels. - Lead HCP digital marketing initiatives, including websites, email, virtual engagement, and emerging digital platforms. - Ensure coordinated customer engagement across fields, digital, congress, and peer-to-peer channels to maximize reach, impact, and commercial effectiveness. - Partner with Commercial Operations, Analytics, external agencies, and Patient Marketing to optimize channel performance, deliver integrated campaigns, and enhance customer experience. - Drive innovation in customer engagement, digital capabilities, and marketing technologies to support brand differentiation and treatment adoption. - Build Organizational Capability and Drive Executional Excellence - Build, develop, and lead a high-performing HCP marketing team focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence of execution. - Establish clear priorities, operating rhythms, and governance processes to support launch readiness and commercial success. - Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Commercial Operations, Sales, and Global Marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective execution. - Lead cross-functional planning and execution of key commercial initiatives, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with business objectives. - Provide strategic recommendations, business insights, and performance updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders. - Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and customer-centricity while developing future marketing leaders within the organization. Qualifications - Master's degree and ideally 7+ years of commercial or marketing experience; or - Bachelor's degree and ideally 10+ years of commercial or marketing experience. - At least 5 years of leadership experience, including direct people management and/or leading complex cross-functional initiatives within a biopharmaceutical or healthcare environment. - Demonstrated success building high-performing teams, influencing senior stakeholders, managing resources, and driving execution across multiple functions. Technical Skills/Preferred Qualifications - Experience in gastroenterology, immunology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), or other specialty care markets strongly preferred. - Extensive experience leading HCP marketing strategies within the biopharmaceutical industry, including personal promotion, omnichannel engagement, digital marketing, and field-facing initiatives. - Proven track record supporting successful product launches, pre-launch planning, launch readiness, or commercialization efforts for specialty pharmaceutical brands. - Demonstrated expertise in developing integrated customer engagement strategies, promotional campaigns, sales tools, training, and customer-facing materials that drive awareness, adoption, and commercial performance. - Strong understanding of customer insight, marketing analytics, and performance measurement to optimize marketing effectiveness. - Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing marketing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Leadership/Behavioral Skills - Demonstrated success partnering with Sales leadership to align brand strategy, customer engagement, and field execution. - Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, and other key stakeholders. - Experience collaborating across HCP and patient marketing to deliver a coordinated brand experience and integrated stakeholder engagement strategy. - Exceptional communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational alignment. - Proven track record of delivering measurable results in fast-paced, high-visibility environments while balancing strategic thinking with operational excellence and execution.
