Title: Buying Specialist Location: Portland, OR, US Workplace: Full time Department: Merchandising & Planning Job Description: PURPOSE: To play a supportive role in achieving divisional sales and profitability goals with a focus on Concept Stores. This role assists Buying with in-season product management, merchandising strategy, and the coordination and execution of day-to-day operations and administrative duties to ensure deadlines can be met. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support the seasonal strategy for area of responsibility and help to create best in class channel relevant buys specific to our consumer and on trend that drive top line sales and profitability to achieve targets - Conduct weekly analysis of the current business and make recommendations based on the analysis - Deliver accurate reporting and sales recaps as needed (ad hoc, daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) - Identify and support with promotional opportunities at the category, concept, collection and article level to maximize sales for both pre-season and in season - Validate essential demand planning information such as size curves and channel forecasts KEY RELATIONSHIPS: - Local Business Unit teams - Allocation, Planning, and Merchandise Planning - Local retail teams - Retail Operations - Demand Planning - Visual Excellence and Visual Merchandise KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - General understanding of channel operations and retail calendar - Experience with MS Office Suit and familiarity with merchandising systems/applications. Role Description Conduct procurement activities in support of project delivery and approved procurement strategies.
