Job Description
Marketing Lead, Product & Japan
Startale Group
Role Description We are looking for a Marketing Lead who owns two things at once: - Global product marketing across the full Startale product stack. - Leadership of the Japan market. On the product side, the scope is wide by design: - Consumer growth for Startale App. - Ecosystem marketing for Soneium. - Stablecoin adoption for USDSC/JPYSC. - Go-to-market for Strium. You move seamlessly between campaigns for global users and targeted strategies for crypto-native audiences, keeping a cohesive product narrative across segments, ecosystems, and competitive landscapes. On the Japan side, you are the decision-maker for how Startale lands and grows in its home market: - Build Startale's brand in Japan for businesses (ToB) and individual investors. - Steward relationships with Japanese media and key stakeholders. You operate at the intersection of marketing, regulation, and product: - Understand the regulatory environment to work directly with Legal. - Translate regulatory insights into guidance for the Product team and marketing. You thrive in a highly cross-functional environment, working closely with Product, BD, and ecosystem partners to take initiatives from concept to launch. You start as an individual contributor and build a Japan marketing team over time as the work scales. Qualifications - Based in Japan and eligible to work in Japan. - Native-level Japanese. - Business-level or above English. - A startup mindset — ownership, speed, and comfort with ambiguity. - A proven marketing track record with demonstrable results. Requirements - ~8+ years of marketing experience, including leading marketing for a product or market. - Product marketing across multiple product lines, with the ability to launch and scale products from zero to growth. - Comfort switching between consumer, developer, enterprise, and institutional messaging. - Track record marketing in and to the Japan market, across brand and growth. - Existing relationships with Japanese media and stakeholders; experience with PR, agencies, and earned media. - Experience building a brand for both business (ToB) and consumer/investor audiences. - Experience marketing fintech or other regulated financial products. - Ability to work with Legal and translate regulation into product and marketing decisions. - Experience leading launches across Product, BD, ecosystem partners, influencers/KOLs, agencies, and media. - Comfort with the full growth funnel (acquisition, activation, retention, referral, re-engagement), product analytics, and marketing KPIs (cohorts, funnel performance, CAC, LTV). Benefits - Globally benchmarked compensation. - Meaningful equity. - Unlimited time off. - Fully remote and flexible work. - Annual global workations. - Premium tools, including AI, to help you do your best work.

Role Description We're hiring a Director of Product Marketing to own how the market understands Compyl, from core positioning to the story behind our agentic AI layer. You'll translate a genuinely technical product into messaging that lands with CISOs and the practitioners who report to them, and lead go-to-market for a roadmap that's moving from evidence collection toward autonomous remediation. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role. You'll set the positioning foundation, ship the launch plays, and build the product marketing function largely from scratch, with real input into how it grows from here. What You'll Do - Own Positioning & Messaging: - Define Compyl's core narrative and product positioning, adapting it across audiences. - Set the market story for Compyl's agentic AI layer as it evolves from automation to autonomous remediation. - Lead Product Launches & GTM: - Own go-to-market for new capabilities end to end. - Partner with Product on packaging and positioning as the AI layer matures. - Build Competitive Intelligence: - Track the GRC and compliance automation landscape. - Build battlecards that arm sales with sharp, honest positioning. - Drive Sales Enablement: - Equip sales with the pitch, demo narrative, objection handling, and case studies. - Get in front of prospects and customers regularly to know what's working in the field. - Own Industry & Persona Messaging: - Build out messaging for key verticals, including financial services, healthcare, legal, insurance, energy & utilities, and higher ed. - Partner with customer marketing on case studies and proof points. Qualifications - Expertise in product marketing, with meaningful time in B2B SaaS. - Experience in security, compliance, GRC, or another audience that sells to technical/security buyers is a strong plus. - A track record of owning positioning and messaging for a product with real technical depth. - Experience leading product launches end to end. - Strong, clear writing skills. - Comfort working closely with sales and running enablement sessions. - Experience marketing an AI-driven product. - A builder's mindset, wanting to define the playbook for this function. Benefits - Competitive salary and meaningful equity participation at a Series A inflection point. - Comprehensive paid benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and generous leave policies.
