Role Description We're hiring a Head of Product to own Compyl's product vision, strategy, and execution end-to-end, including direct ownership of our agentic AI layer. We're building AI capabilities that move beyond evidence collection and risk dashboards toward autonomous remediation and multi-step workflow orchestration. Whoever steps into this role will have real, lasting ownership over how AI is built across the product. This is not a bolt-on feature, it's a foundational shift in how Compyl delivers value, and no competitor has fully unlocked it yet. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set direction, but you'll also stay close to customers, roadmap tradeoffs, delivery timelines, and outcomes. Success means translating real customer pain into clear priorities, shipping high-quality product consistently, and raising the bar for how product decisions are made across the company. What You'll Do - Own Product Strategy & Vision - Define and evolve Compyl's long-term product vision and roadmap, aligned to the company strategy, customer needs, and market opportunity. - Translate high-level strategy into clear, prioritized initiatives with measurable outcomes. - Balance near-term execution with long-term platform thinking. - Lead Compyl's Agentic AI Layer - Own the strategy, sequencing, and execution of Compyl's AI layer, from initial agentic workflows to full autonomous remediation. - Define how AI agents interact with the core GRC platform, integrations, and customer environments in a defensible, auditable way. - Partner with Engineering to establish the architecture and data foundations that make multi-step AI orchestration possible at scale. - Set the bar for what "practitioner-grade AI" means in GRC, ensuring every AI-driven action is explainable and trustworthy. - Lead Product Execution - Own roadmap planning, prioritization, and delivery in close partnership with Engineering. - Work closely with Sales and Marketing to support positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market readiness. - Ensure product initiatives are scoped clearly, sequenced effectively, and delivered with quality. - Establish strong product discovery and validation practices before committing engineering resources. - Stay deeply connected to customers, prospects, and the field, especially enterprise security and GRC leaders. - Build & Scale the Product Organization - Lead and develop Product Managers and Product Designers; define clear roles, expectations, and career paths. - Establish product rituals, operating cadence, and decision-making frameworks that scale with the company. - Raise the bar for product thinking, communication, and accountability across the org. Qualifications - 10+ years of product management experience, including senior leadership roles building enterprise SaaS platforms. - Demonstrated experience driving product strategy in risk, compliance, security, governance, or adjacent regulated domains. - Proven track record translating regulatory frameworks and customer obligations into scalable, policy-driven product capabilities. - Experience with AI/ML product development, ideally agentic systems, LLM-powered workflows, or autonomous process automation in a B2B context. - Experience owning and evolving a complex, multi-tenant platform with a strong point of view on modularity, extensibility, and long-term architecture. - Highly analytical and outcome-driven; comfortable using qualitative customer insight and quantitative data to drive prioritization and roadmap decisions. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales, and executive leadership in a high-growth environment. - Experience scaling product organizations and operating models in a Series A–C SaaS company. Benefits - Competitive salary and meaningful equity participation at a Series A inflection point. - Comprehensive paid benefits. Why Compyl - Own the AI roadmap: Compyl is building an agentic AI layer on top of its compliance platform, moving from evidence collection to autonomous remediation. This hire owns that from day one. - Category-defining market: GRC and automated compliance is one of the fastest-growing segments in enterprise software. The tailwinds are structural, not cyclical. - Real product, real traction: Healthy customer growth, a platform built by practitioners who understand the buyer. - Series A momentum: Backed by Venture Guides, Contour Venture Partners, and Armory Square Ventures, with the capital and conviction to scale aggressively. - Direct access and visibility: Report to the CEO. Your strategy is seen, debated, and rewarded at the highest levels of the organization. - Meaningful equity: Significant equity participation at a valuation inflection point. - Autonomy, no bureaucracy: No micromanagement. Co-founders as partners, not gatekeepers. You are trusted as the expert. Senior Product Manager, Core GRC ABOUT COMPYL Compyl is an enterprise-grade Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform helping organizations automate risk management, compliance, and audit readiness across complex security environments. Based in NYC, our platform connects with hundreds of security tools to simplify evidence collection, streamline workflows, and give teams a more modern way to manage GRC at scale. We are building for speed, scale, and impact. Our culture is rooted in accountability, curiosity, and a strong bias toward execution. We value people who take ownership, move fast, and care deeply about building meaningful products that solve difficult problems. THE ROLE As a Senior Product Manager on our Core GRC team, you will own the roadmap and delivery of Compyl's most foundational workflows, the systems that help security and compliance teams manage risk, track controls, and stay audit-ready at scale. You will work directly alongside our Head of Product as a true co-owner of product strategy and execution. This is not a support role or a ticket-groomer position. You will define what gets built, why it gets built, and when it ships, then partner closely with engineering to make it happen. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own and drive the Core GRC product roadmap end-to-end — from discovery and prioritization through delivery and post-launch iteration. - Partner directly with Head of Product to shape product strategy, align stakeholders, and maintain a high-quality, executable backlog. - Work in close collaboration with engineering leads to ensure features are scoped clearly, dependencies are surfaced early, and delivery is predictable. - Conduct ongoing customer discovery with enterprise security and compliance teams to deeply understand workflow pain points and unmet needs. - Define success metrics for every initiative and hold yourself accountable to outcomes, not just outputs. - Write crisp, detailed PRDs and briefs that give engineers and designers the context they need to move fast without ambiguity. - Represent the product in cross-functional conversations with sales, customer success, and leadership. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS with complex, workflow-heavy products. - Proven track record of owning and delivering a product roadmap from ideation through launch — not just supporting one. - Strong execution instincts: you know how to keep delivery moving, unblock teams, and make pragmatic tradeoff decisions under pressure. - Technical fluency. You don't need to write code, but you can read a technical spec and earn the respect of a senior engineering team. - Experience in GRC, security, compliance, or adjacent enterprise domains is a strong plus. - Exceptional written communication — your PRDs, briefs, and stakeholder updates are clear, concise, and leave no room for ambiguity. - Startup DNA: you thrive in fast-moving, high-ownership environments where the job is rarely the same week to week. HOW WE WORK Extreme Ownership: You own your roadmap the way a founder owns their product. Successes and misses are yours — and you act accordingly. Bias Toward Clarity: Ambiguity is the enemy of fast execution. Great PMs at Compyl write things down, resolve open questions early, and give teams what they need to ship. Ship, Learn, Iterate: We value a well-reasoned launch over a perfect spec, and we build feedback loops into everything we do. Customer Proximity: The best product decisions come from deep customer understanding. We expect our PMs to be in constant conversation with the people who use what we build. WHY COMPYL This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-ownership PM role at a company that is growing fast and building something genuinely hard. You will have real influence over the direction of a core product used by enterprise security teams every day. You will work alongside people who care deeply about craft, execution, and impact — and you will have the support of leadership to make bold product bets. If you want a seat at the table and the accountability that comes with it, this is the role. Compyl is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sex (including gender identity, pregnancy, and sexual orientation), age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any legally protected status under federal, state, or local law. Lead Product Engineer About Compyl Compyl is an enterprise-grade Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform helping organizations automate risk management, compliance, and audit readiness across complex security environments. The Role As Lead Product Engineer, you will architect and build the heart of the Compyl platform. This team owns our most critical feature surface: an Agentic AI system that actively manages, remediates, and plans GRC workflows autonomously. You will not be building bolt-on AI chat features. You will be designing intelligent systems that take autonomous action within our C# / .NET and Blazor ecosystem and setting the technical direction for how we build AI at Compyl. This role sits at the intersection of applied AI engineering and core platform development. You'll collaborate closely with product and design, influence architecture decisions, and help define what world-class agentic systems look like in the enterprise compliance space. Requirements - Expert C# / .NET: Deep mastery of the .NET ecosystem, CQRS, and Onion Architecture (Controller -> Service -> Repository). You know how to design scalable systems that can handle complex state and AI orchestrations. - Agentic AI Experience: Proven experience building agentic workflows, orchestrating LLMs to take action, parse structured data, and execute multi-step logic safely. - Blazor Excellence: Strong experience with Blazor WebAssembly/Server. You understand component-driven architecture, strict separation of logic (.razor.cs), and building highly interactive UIs. - AI-Native Workflow: Proficiency in Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex is mandatory. You leverage AI IDEs to automate boilerplate and write faster, cleaner code. - Startup DNA: You thrive in high-velocity environments, balancing rapid shipping with necessary architectural guardrails. How We Work At Compyl, engineering is expected to move with urgency while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and security. We care about building systems the right way, but we also know how to make pragmatic decisions that keep the business moving. A few principles that guide our team: - Frontend & API Rigor: No inline styling—component-specific .scss only. Strict adherence to OpenAPI 3.1.1 standards with mandatory XML documentation for all public endpoints. - The Campground Rule: We believe in leaving the codebase better than we found it. Engineers proactively address technical debt and clean up nullable warnings daily. - Accountability & Extreme Ownership: We ship code daily. While we have solid guardrails and automated testing (Playwright) in place, you are empowered to own your features from the IDE to production. Why Compyl Joining Compyl means working on meaningful technical challenges inside a growing SaaS company operating at the intersection of security, compliance, and automation. You’ll have the chance to influence core architecture, work alongside a team that values execution, and help build the foundation for the next stage of our platform.
