About the Role Protegrity’s Business Development team is growing, & we’re looking for a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel pipeline across our Enterprise & Mid-Market sales teams. In this role, you’ll focus on identifying, engaging, & qualifying prospective customers through strategic outbound & inbound efforts. You’ll partner closely with Sales & Marketing to generate high-quality opportunities & contribute directly to revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Prospecting & Pipeline Generation - Generate new business opportunities with prospective Enterprise & Mid-Market clients. - Research target accounts, map buying groups, & identify key stakeholders. - Execute structured multi-channel outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, marketing campaigns, event follow-up). - Qualify inbound & outbound leads & schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives. - Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, & account data within CRM systems. - Meet & exceed KPIs related to outreach activity, meetings booked, & pipeline contribution. Collaboration & Execution - Partner with Sales & Marketing to align on campaigns, messaging, & target accounts. - Support follow-up on marketing campaigns, events, & inbound interest with defined SLAs. - Provide feedback on messaging, objections, & market trends to improve outreach effectiveness. - Participate in team training, call coaching, & ongoing enablement programs. Continuous Improvement - Test & refine outreach strategies (messaging, personas, channels) to improve performance. - Stay current on Protegrity’s solutions, industry trends, & competitive landscape. - Contribute insights to team playbooks & best practices. Qualifications & Experience - 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (B2B tech preferred). - Experience in cybersecurity, data protection, cloud, or AI/analytics markets OR degrees or certifications in AI or Cybersecurity. - Excellent written & verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, & stay organized in a high-activity environment. - Coachable mindset with a willingness to learn & adapt quickly. - Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) & sales engagement platforms (SalesLoft or similar) is a plus. - Competitive, self-motivated, & driven to exceed targets. - Positive attitude & high energy. What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) - Consistently hitting activity & meeting targets. - Confidently executing outbound across multiple channels. - Generating qualified pipeline aligned to Sales priorities. - Demonstrating strong product & industry understanding. - Contributing to team momentum, improvement, & morale.
