The Social & Community Coordinator sits within the Marketing Department and is focused on executing social and community initiatives that help us win with our priority audiences and grow Altra’s presence across North America. You will support day-to-day social execution, community programming, and creator content production across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms as needed. This role works closely with the Social Media & Community Manager, Director of Social Impact, Marketing team, Creative team, and external partners. It reports to the Social Media & Community Manager. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Social Media - Support the execution of Altra’s social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Strava, and emerging platforms, helping adapt content for channel-specific needs. - Assist in managing Altra’s TikTok presence by identifying trends, supporting content ideation, and helping execute native, platform-first storytelling. - Support creator content production by coordinating creator outreach, managing content timelines, and helping ensure delivery of high-volume content for TikTok and other social platforms. - Work with creators, athletes, and ambassadors to support briefing, scheduling, asset collection, and content approvals. - Help develop social content ideas in partnership with the Social Media & Community Manager and Creative team, grounded in culture, sport, and community storytelling. - Assist the Sports Marketing team in supporting athlete ambassador initiatives, including content coordination and social amplification. - Stay plugged into social and cultural trends to help surface relevant ideas, formats, and opportunities for the brand. - Maintain and update social and community content calendars to ensure alignment across campaigns, product launches, and community moments. - Capture and edit lightweight iPhone content from events, activations, and community experiences to support real-time storytelling. - Help organize and track creator deliverables, social assets, and campaign timelines. - Support budget tracking, partnership documentation, and coordination of agreements with internal teams. - Assist in compiling performance insights, community learnings, and content recaps to inform future programming. Social Impact & Community - Support Altra’s social impact initiatives focused on creating an inclusive run community - Develop and execute grassroots marketing programs with run clubs, events, and community partners in growth markets. - Build and foster relationships with diverse and women-focused run organizations - Assist in operationalizing partnerships with organizations such as RIDC, Run for Public Lands, Trust for Public Lands, and Freestone Endurance alongside the broader marketing team. - Support execution of the product seeding program, helping manage creator lists, shipments, and follow-up content tracking. What do you need to succeed? We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundational skills you’ll need to succeed and grow into the position. While formal education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus, we are most interested in your 2+ years of experience and demonstrated ability to execute social and community work. A successful candidate has a passion for social media, storytelling, and community building. They are highly organized, curious about culture, and excited to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They are consumer-first-minded and eager to help bring ideas to life across multiple channels. The foundation skills you will need in this position are: - 2+ years in social media, influencer/creator marketing, or related roles - Strong interest in TikTok, short-form video, and creator-led content - Experience supporting creator workflows from coordination to delivery - Highly organized; able to manage timelines, deliverables, and multiple projects - Solid understanding of social platforms and what drives engagement - Familiar with tools like Sprinklr, CreatorIQ, and project management platforms (e.g., Wrike) - Ability to contribute to creative briefs and support execution across teams and partners - Experience in supporting social impact, purpose-driven, or community initiatives - Ability to help integrate storytelling around brand purpose, inclusion, and community - Comfortable working with nonprofit partners, grassroots orgs, or community-led programs - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Agile and adaptable in fast-moving campaign environments There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred. - Passion for running and outdoor culture - Experience creating or editing short-form content - Strong grasp of TikTok trends and creator ecosystems - Exposure to run clubs, endurance sports, or community-driven marketing Location requirement: This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of our Denver, HQ 3 days a week. Hiring Range: $60,480.00 USD - $75,600.00 USD annually Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
