Who You Are The Workers Compensation Operations Associate will be responsible for assisting our Workers’ Compensation Operations team with specific tasks to improve overall operational efficiency. They will support customer requests related to Justworks’ workers’ compensation policy, ensure workers’ comp coverage for customers, and help maintain the relationship with our carrier by updating carrier records and customer files. This position will work to evaluate workers’ compensation insurance risks, working closely with the Underwriting, Customer Support, and Licensing teams at Justworks. The ideal candidate will have a desire to help others, a curiosity to learn, and an interest in streamlining operational procedures and processes between or within departments. Your Success Profile What You Will Work On - Provide accurate support and guidance to customers related to Justworks’ Workers Compensation coverage, such as answering questions, providing certificates of insurance, and other related inquiries - Answer inbound inquiries from our small business customers via email - Resolve inquiries generated by Justworks’ Customer Success team by reaching out to appropriate state agencies, internal Justworks teams, and carrier - Evaluate customer records to create workers’ comp policies for new locations and underwrite new employee class codes in customers’ workforce - Craft outbound emails to customers or internal partners regarding workers compensation; follow up via phone when necessary - Organize and file incoming mail, identifying accurate and timely response to carriers and states - Assist Workers’ Compensation Operations team in preparing for policy renewals, audits, and other sizeable projects by performing data entry, quality assurance and mail filing - Assist internal teams in ensuring compliance with workers’ comp related state guidelines - Coordinate with other teams across Justworks and maintain an effective working relationship with broker, program administrator, and carrier - Contribute to updating internal resources and documentation of standard operating procedures - Perform other related duties as assigned How You Will Do Your Work As an Associate, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization.
