Role Description The Customer Engineering team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Gas Engineer providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the Carlisle and surrounding areas. Key responsibilities will include: - Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets at customer sites. - Travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base. - Participation in a standby rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours. Qualifications - ACS Gas Qualified. - A Full Manual UK driving licence is essential. - Experience in dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care. - Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful. - Understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage. - Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness. • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads, airfield lighting and signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitation. • Developing civil airfield design and construction improvement documents • Coordinate with planning and design team members, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects. • Perform aviation-related civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports • Involved with projects from start to completion including planning, design, and construction administration of airports, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans. • Collaborating and/or coordinating with delivery teams consisting of multi-disciplined design engineers and technicians • AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D design manager duties • Analyze GIS data, client as-builts, survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information, and data needed for project development. • Supervise, coordinate, and produce several projects concurrently. • Establishes positive client relationships. • Coordinate with clients, funding agencies, state aviation officials, FAA, and local permit Agencies. • Includes regular site visits during the design and construction phases of airport improvement projects throughout the State of Florida.

This is a senior technical role for someone with deep infrastructure operations experience who enjoys solving complex problems, leading operational improvements, and driving consistency across multiple data centre locations. You'll work closely with Infrastructure Operations, Engineering, Deployment, and Platform teams to establish best practices, improve operational efficiency, lead major infrastructure initiatives, and help shape the future operating model for one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies in the world. This role requires occasional travel to Nscale data centres across multiple countries to support deployments, operational improvements, and critical infrastructure initiatives. What you'll be doing - Infrastructure Operations & Continuous Improvement: - Lead complex infrastructure projects, including hardware installations, upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives. - Drive standardisation across Nscale's global data centre estate by developing repeatable operational processes and best practices. - Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service reliability. - Support the development of Nscale's Centre of Excellence as the operational authority for infrastructure operations. - Incident Management & Technical Leadership: - Take ownership of complex infrastructure incidents from diagnosis through to resolution. - Lead major incident response activities and coordinate technical teams during critical events. - Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions to improve platform resilience. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operations teams across multiple locations. - Capacity Planning & Infrastructure Optimisation: - Partner with cross-functional teams on capacity planning and infrastructure optimisation initiatives. - Support operational readiness for new deployments and infrastructure expansion. - Help develop scalable operational models that support rapid business growth. - Documentation, Standards & Governance: - Own the creation and continuous improvement of operational documentation, standards, and runbooks. - Define and maintain operational procedures for incident management, planned maintenance, and communications. - Ensure consistency of operational execution across all Nscale data centres. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Deployment, Platform Engineering, Network Engineering, and Operations teams. - Travel to data centre sites to support deployments, resolve complex technical issues, and improve operational excellence. - Build strong relationships across the business to drive alignment and influence operational best practices. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in a technical infrastructure, data centre, or operations environment. - Extensive experience working within large-scale data centre environments. - Proven ability to solve complex, systemic infrastructure issues and deliver long-term operational improvements. - Strong analytical and structured approach to troubleshooting and problem solving. - Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple sites or operational teams. - Advanced technical certifications relevant to infrastructure operations. Preferred Experience - Experience supporting hyperscale, HPC, AI, or NVIDIA GPU infrastructure. - Hands-on server deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience. - Strong customer service mindset with experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure. • Analyzing incoming 3D CAD part design for Injection Molding, other tooling technologies; • Check Injection Molding Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reports and challenge manufacturer’s technical solutions; • Communicate with external customers via video calls and explain DFM reports/gather feedback and discuss technical solutions with manufacturers across Europe and Asia; • To optimize part 3D CAD design and improve part design feasibility issues, if necessary; • Participate in meetings to fix quality claims for Injection Molding, High Pressure Die Casting, other tooling technologies together with a cross-functional team and external customers; • Attend pre-sales meetings with Sales Team and external customers via video-calls, support technical questions/answers for potential projects.
