Senior Python Engineer

Role Description We are building a cloud-native network orchestration platform running on Kubernetes, responsible for automating the lifecycle of L2/L3 services across tier-1 ISP router networks. In this role, you will design and implement Temporal-based workflows in Python to orchestrate long-running, failure-prone network operations such as service provisioning, modification, reconciliation, and teardown. The work involves coordinating multiple distributed systems, handling partial failures safely, and providing strong observability and auditability for network services at scale. This is a backend, systems-oriented role focused on workflow correctness, reliability, and operational robustness, not simple scripting or device-by-device automation. - Collaborate with network architects, SRE, and platform teams to define service models and operational behavior - Design and implement temporal-based workflows and activities in Python, deployed as microservices on Kubernetes - Implement end-to-end orchestration for Network L2 / L3 VPN service lifecycle - Configuration generation and deployment - State verification and reconciliation (pre-checks, provisioning, rollback) - Integrate with platform and network systems: inventory, topology, IPAM, service catalogs - Router interfaces (NETCONF, gNMI, REST, CLI-based systems) - Add observability and operability: metrics, logs, tracing, workflow visibility - Clear service and workflow audit trails Qualifications - Strong backend engineering experience with Python - at least 5 years - Experience working with SQL DBs - Hands-on experience with K8S and Azure/AWS based workloads - Understanding of networking fundamentals: L2/L3 concepts, routing, MPLS basics - Network service lifecycle concepts understanding - Experience writing production-quality code: clear APIs, structured error handling, tests - Upper-intermediate or higher English level Requirements - Hands-on experience implementing workflow-based orchestration (Temporal or equivalent) - Experience working with observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent) - Experience with L2VPN / L3VPN provisioning in service-provider networks - Hands-on experience with network automation technologies: NETCONF/YANG, gNMI/OpenConfig, SNMP, streaming telemetry - Familiarity with router vendors and platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Arista, etc.) Benefits - 20 fully paid business days of vacation - 15 fully paid sick leaves - 11+ fully paid public holidays - Compensation for health insurance and sport club membership/well-being needs - English courses - Learning platforms - Ability to work from home or remotely
