Job Description

In-House Counsel

Host Analytics Inc

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to the People team on a wide range of employment-related matters, including performance management, terminations, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, accommodations, and leave laws. • Advise on employee relations issues, HR policies, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Draft, review, and update employment agreements, handbooks, and internal policies. • Manage and coordinate all phases of employment and commercial litigation, including overseeing outside counsel, developing strategy, and reviewing pleadings, discovery, and correspondence. • Proactively identify litigation risks and recommend strategies to mitigate potential legal exposure. • Respond to subpoenas, demand letters, and government agency inquiries (e.g., EEOC, DOL). • Assist with negotiation and review of SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and other commercial agreements. • Partner with sales and procurement teams to enable efficient and compliant contract execution. • Provide pragmatic legal advice across the business on ad hoc matters as needed. • Support the development and implementation of internal legal processes and compliance programs.

Job Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years of in-house counsel experience, ideally in a high-growth or technology-driven environment.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. employment law and strong familiarity with managing both employment and commercial litigation.
  • Exposure to or experience with SaaS contracting and basic commercial transactions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • A proactive, practical, and business-minded approach to solving legal problems.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple demands.
