• Own complex, frequently shifting calendars for two busy executives • Coordinate meetings across time zones; manage last-minute changes without losing composure • Arrange domestic and international travel including flights, hotels, and ground transport, and handle changes quickly • Prepare agendas and briefing materials so executives walk into every meeting ready • Take notes and track follow-ups when requested • Handle expense reports, approvals, and administrative tasks with speed and accuracy • Triage inbound requests and route communications through Slack and other tools

• Build intuitive and elegant user experiences to empower fellow KoBolders with backgrounds in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and data science. • Own and improve KoBold’s existing web apps that manage data upload, discovery, search, and visualization. • Collaborate with scientists to architect new tools to support complex, interactive 2D/3D geospatial visualizations, plotting, and data labeling. • Champion frontend best practices. Modernize our stack to standardize our UIs, prototype faster, and deploy useful apps for our geologists and data scientists. Mentor junior developers. • Setup systems to automate the testing of our UIs.

• Architect, implement, and maintain decision science libraries that will be used in KoBold’s mineral exploration analyses. • Build tooling to increase the velocity of our decision making, including enabling rapid prototyping in Jupyter notebooks; build experimentation, evaluation, and simulation frameworks; turning successful R&D into robust, scalable pipelines; and organizing ML models and their outputs for repeatability and discoverability. • Apply–and coach team members to use–engineering best practices such as writing robust, testable and composable code • Collaborate with data scientists, geoscientists and engineers to invent the modern decision science technology for mineral exploration • Occasional travel to exploration sites around the world to observe the impact of scientific computing on KoBold’s exploration products and design new technologies to further discovery. Travel is approximately twice per year depending on project needs.

• Architect, implement, and maintain foundational scientific computing libraries that will be used in KoBold’s mineral exploration analyses. • Build tooling to increase the velocity of our machine learning progress, including enabling rapid prototyping in Jupyter notebooks; build experimentation, evaluation, and simulation frameworks; turning successful R&D into robust, scalable ML pipelines; and organizing models and their outputs for repeatability and discoverability. • In collaboration with data scientists, build models to make statistically valid predictions about the locations of economic concentrations of ore metals within the Earth’s crust. • Apply–and coach team members to use–engineering best practices such as writing robust, testable and composable code • Collaborate with data scientists, geoscientists and engineers to invent the modern scientific computing stack for mineral exploration • Occasional travel to exploration sites around the world to observe the impact of scientific computing on KoBold’s exploration products and design new technologies to further discovery. Travel is approximately twice per year depending on project needs.

• Perform full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. • Ensure compliance with DRC tax, accounting, and mining legislation. • Manage external audits and relationships with authorities. • Support field exploration and FP&A teams. • Build and scale accounting operations. • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and strong ethics.

• Principal configurator of all Workday modules, reports, and business processes • Thoughtfully architect our HR data across all places where it exists • Manage the administration of review cycles within and outside of Workday • Manage HR-related integrations in collaboration with IT • Serve as our employee’s point of contact for HR systems questions • Configure and maintain various security roles and permissions • Partner with internal teams to build reporting and tools that leverage HR data outside of our HR systems • Contribute to the entry and management of employee data

• Be an integral part of an in-house legal team in a technology and mineral exploration company growing rapidly around the world • Provide leverage and support to the CLO and DGC so that they are more effective at advancing the company’s priorities • Develop major parts of the company’s legal function with a particular focus on employment law, immigration, investigations, global workforce matters, employment-related compliance, and general litigation • Advise on employment matters across multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S., Australia, Canada, the UK, Europe, Africa, and other regions where the company operates • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, consulting agreements, separation agreements, CIIAAs, offer letters, secondment arrangements, and other workforce-related documents • Develop, maintain, and improve employee handbooks, policies, procedures, trainings, and internal guidance for a rapidly growing global company • Advise on employment laws and practices affecting a mobile, international workforce, including hiring, terminations, discipline, accommodations, leaves of absence, wage and hour, workplace safety, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, retaliation, remote work, and cross-border employment issues • Partner with HR, talent acquisition, finance, tax, equity administration, and outside immigration counsel or mobility specialists on workforce mobility, immigration, visas, relocation, and international travel matters • Support employee equity matters, including in the context of grants, option exercises, terminations, mobility, tax coordination, and public-company or IPO-readiness processes • Support public-company readiness and public-company employment matters, including compensation governance, executive employment arrangements, employment-related disclosure, and CD&A support where applicable • Act as primary point of contact in legal department for and manage disputes, threatened claims, litigation, arbitration, mediation, agency charges, and settlement negotiations (employee-related and otherwise) • Represent the company in dealings with government agencies on employee matters, including labor, employment, immigration, workplace safety, benefits, and other workforce-related agencies • Lead and advise on internal employee-related investigations, including investigations involving senior employees, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, conflicts of interest, misconduct, policy violations, and other sensitive workplace issues • Advise on employee benefits matters in the U.S. and abroad, including 401(k), pension, leave, health, retirement, and similar benefit programs • Advise on labor relations and union-related issues where they arise, including works councils, collective consultation, union engagement, and labor-law issues in non-U.S. jurisdictions • Have many opportunities to be involved in other areas as the company and its legal functions grow, including intellectual property, data, AI, privacy, broader compliance, and corporate matters • Create processes and policies to help build a high-functioning legal department and scalable global employment function • Provide immediate legal and business advice to internal clients who include senior executives, finance, HR, talent acquisition and tax • Work across the company to set and meet high standards of ethics, with a focus on safety, anti-corruption, community support, environmental protection, anti-discrimination, and integrity • Hire and supervise outside counsel across many subject areas and jurisdictions • Work on whatever needs to be done

• Own cash forecasting including quarterly and annual spend predictions, working with leaders across the company to build bottoms-up estimates and create a clear understanding of how actual cash spend is allocated across the business (e.g., exploration, R&D, resource development, G&A, etc.) • Develop analytical models that help inform decision making and/or identify explicit or implicit cost improvement opportunities. Work closely with operations and technical teams to share these insights and implement change • Produce clear, actionable reporting that translates financial data into usable information that helps leaders manage their spend • Build and maintain a single source of truth for financial data, partnering with accounting and data teams to ensure integrity across systems • Lead the business justification process across the business and ensure that KoBold is being as efficient and effective as possible in allocating capital across its programs and teams • Develop a deep understanding of KoBold’s technical operations — how exploration programs are run, what mine development looks like, and what drives cost — and use that understanding to improve team effectiveness and challenge or inform cost assumptions • Build strong working relationships with operational leaders across the company and serve as a finance partner who understands their work • Help create the right performance metrics and create the reporting and processes required to drive accountability • Conduct detailed variance analysis and help teams understand their spend and course correct as necessary • Help with the assessment selection, and design of FP&A systems and tools—both third-party and in-house, custom-built tools—to support a rapidly growing, global business with complex operations • Drive automation and implement AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual work, improve forecast accuracy, and keeps the team lean • Build scalable processes and reporting infrastructure, fostering a culture that treats process improvement as essential work key to future success • Continue to develop a small, high-performing FP&A team, setting high standards and building capability • Communicate financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, from field operators to the executive leadership team • Support IPO readiness efforts by building FP&A capabilities appropriate for a public company.

• Manage international direct tax compliance for multiple jurisdictions including Canada, the Nordic Region, UK, Europe, Australia, serving as primary liaison with external advisors; and act as a key team member for compliance in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. • Strategize, research, and plan for tax implications of global operations, coordinating U.S. and foreign tax laws to develop optimal tax planning strategies • Support the development and execution of corporate restructurings, entity reorganizations, and capitalization strategies. Analyze tax implications of structural changes, model alternative scenarios, and coordinate with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to implement tax-efficient structures across multiple jurisdictions • Develop and maintain tax systems that leverage Ai to support strategic decision-making, including cash tax forecasting, scenario analysis, capital structure optimization, thin capitalization monitoring, and evaluation of tax implications for corporate transactions and operational initiatives • Provide technical expertise and operational support for indirect taxes (VAT, withholding taxes, sales/use taxes, customs duties) across key jurisdictions as needed, and partner with local finance teams to resolve complex issues, ensure timely compliance, and identify optimization opportunities • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Technology, Operations, Finance, and Legal on tax and customs implications of business decisions • Partner with non-tax departments and leadership to support legal entity structuring for new operations and business expansion • Research and identify tax planning opportunities including incentives, credits, duty relief programs, and treaty benefits and assist with existing mining tax credit and SR&ED calculations in Canada; with an ability to take beginning to end ownership of research to execution • Assist with tax audits and controversy matters by coordinating responses and developing technical positions • Build scalable processes and documentation as the company transitions from exploration to production

• Develop and apply AI, muon tomography, seismic imaging, and geophysical inversion methods to discover and characterize copper, nickel, lithium, cobalt, and rare earth deposits. • Develop stochastic and ensemble inversion frameworks that assimilate muon flux, seismic, magnetics, gravity, and EM data into 3D subsurface property models. • Forward modeling, sensor placement optimization, and inversion of cosmic-ray muon attenuation data. • Apply deep generative models, geostatistical priors, and physics-informed neural networks for resource estimation. • Extend Mineral-X’s intelligent agent framework for data acquisition decisions.
