Work Arrangement Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 160,000 and USD $ 227,000 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Role Description The Systems Principal Architect will: - Lead architecture and technical direction of RPA at Zimmer Biomet. - Be responsible for RPA lifecycle and capabilities roadmap, development standards, and platform administration/support processes. - Conduct peer reviews of solution designs and code. - Consult with RPA developers and process owners/SMEs. - Evaluate and implement new process automation capabilities. - Function as architect and technical lead for the RPA platform/system, Blue Prism. - Collaborate with vendors and conduct independent research to establish RPA roadmaps and drive roadmap execution. - Establish and maintain automation development standards and best practices. - Participate in solution design reviews and review process automations to ensure standards and best practices are being followed. - Collaborate with process owners and SMEs to identify, qualify/quantify, and prioritize opportunities to automate business processes. - Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of new automations and fixes/enhancements to existing automations as required. - Collaborate across functional, company, and geographical boundaries and influence and negotiate to provide effective support and deliver results. - Apply principles, concepts, and practices of IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. - Proactively enforce worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected. Qualifications - Must have 5 years of experience in IT. - Must have 4 years of experience in designing, delivering, and supporting process automation solutions. - Must have 2 years of experience in RPA technologies. - Must have 2 years of experience utilizing formal ITSM and SDLC processes and tools to manage service requests, incidents, problems, and changes. - Must have experience with identifying, evaluating, and selecting IT solutions. - Must have experience preparing process documentation. - Must have experience preparing techno-functional design documentation. - Must have experience preparing and executing test scripts. • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration architecture supporting VA modernization initiatives. • Develop integration strategies connecting legacy VistA/MUMPS systems with modern cloud-based and enterprise applications. • Critically evaluate AI-generated interface maps, dependency diagrams, data flow analyses, and business rules extractions for accuracy and completeness against actual VistA data structures and integration patterns, identifying gaps or errors before outputs are used in integration design. • Architect APIs, middleware, messaging, and data exchange solutions across enterprise healthcare systems. • Support interoperability initiatives utilizing healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, and RESTful APIs. • Design scalable integration frameworks supporting real-time and batch processing requirements. • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development, data, and DevSecOps teams to ensure seamless system integration. • Define integration patterns, standards, governance models, and best practices across the enterprise. • Support migration and modernization efforts involving legacy healthcare applications and enterprise data platforms. • Evaluate and recommend middleware, API management, and integration platform technologies. • Ensure integration solutions align with federal cybersecurity, Zero Trust, and compliance requirements. • Participate in technical architecture reviews, modernization planning sessions, and engineering assessments. • Develop technical documentation including interface control documents (ICDs), architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and implementation plans. • Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide technical leadership throughout the system lifecycle.
