GEOTAB
• Lead and manage industry events for key portfolios of Geotab’s business, including pre-planning event execution and post-event reporting. • Manage vendor event budget. Handle invoicing for events and provide accurate timely budget reports. • Lead elements of Geotab’s marquee annual event, Geotab Connect. Work alongside Business Development, Segment Managers, Product, and other internal teams as required. Support in day-to-day liaison with production vendors. • Research, evaluate and recommend strategic software solutions that create efficiencies, cost savings and established process that deliver business needs (ie. iCapture, Sendoso, Cvent etc.) • Monitor and understand industry trends, identify issues and opportunities and provide recommended action to appropriate stakeholders, gather, integrate information/research and interpret existing views of the target audience to support the development of future events. • Maintain and build a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues. • Develop event-specific organizational tools such as production timelines, contact lists, on-site deliverables schedule and ensure all internal and external individuals supporting designated events/projects are in alignment. • Manage, oversee and develop relationships with external vendors (Skyline, metroConnections etc.) and align services and production with internal company brand guidelines, budgets and strategic business goals. • Consult with stakeholders in Revenue Generation (Sales), to ensure strategic alignment of goals and provide recommendations on event-related sales activities • Align with leaders in implementation of Saleforce.com and Marketing Cloud campaign structures and associated lead tracking and lead nurture automation processes to identify ROI results for every event. • Lead event specific content creation, communications, and materials for pre-event, execution, and post-event stages including outbound email, social media campaigns, videos, presentations, collateral, signage, etc. • Actively update the company-wide global events calendar, keeping all details up to date and accurate. • Deliver programs and events to a high level standard of execution and encourage innovation and creativity in event planning and execution. • Support Geotab global strategic initiatives. • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction to ensure retention and growth of business through repeat events and developed relationships.
Job Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Event Management
- Post-secondary diploma/degree with a specialization in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- CMP Designation (Certified Meeting Planner) highly valued
- High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is crucial when ensuring proper event execution.
- Adaptability to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience with managing a budget.
- Move easily between generating big, creative ideas, and driving ongoing process improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication competency, with ability to influence external and internal stakeholders.
- Track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- Proven analytical and data decision-making capabilities and making business recommendations to drive event performance.
