Job Description
Conference Producer
Business of Apps
Role Description We're hiring a Conference Producer to help us build outstanding agendas that put the most insightful voices in app growth on stage and create sessions that help our attendees learn how to grow and scale apps. - Report to our Senior Conference Producer and take ownership of a meaningful part of our speaker programme across all three events. - Real responsibility for pipeline, outreach, and on-site delivery. - Pitch in on marketing and delegate acquisition where the team needs firepower. - Identify and approach high-quality speakers working in growth, user acquisition, CRM, product, and leadership at top apps. - Manage outreach, calls, and confirmations end-to-end. - Research trends and surface strong agenda ideas. - Contribute to session formats, including new interactive formats that go beyond the standard panel and keynote structure. - Own the speaker journey from confirmation to curtain — briefing documents, talk titles, slide deadlines, travel logistics, and green room management on the day. - Attend and support delivery at our London, NYC, and Berlin events. - Act as the key point of contact for speakers on the day and contribute to a smooth, professional experience. - Support marketing and delegate acquisition campaigns when the team needs it — writing copy, reaching out to your network, or helping promote the agenda. - Support the production and hosting of webinars and online content — a natural extension of the conference programme and a growing part of how we serve the BoA community year-round. What success looks like: In your first six months, you'll have: - Sourced and confirmed a strong pipeline of speakers from leading apps across more than one event. - Contributed meaningfully to at least one new or refreshed session format. - Delivered a smooth speaker experience on-site at one or more of our events. - Built enough knowledge of the app growth ecosystem to hold credible conversations with senior industry figures. - Got stuck into helping with one or more of the following: digital content, video, webinars, social, delegate sales where required. Qualifications - At least 2+ years experience in conference production or events, ideally in tech, startups, or marketing. - Experience carrying out end-to-end speaker acquisition including researching, cold outreach, calls, and closing confirmations. - Strong written communication - able to write outreach that gets replies from senior, time-poor people. - A genuine interest in tech, startups, and the app economy - curious about what's happening, and bring that energy to the agenda. - Interest in modern event formats - keen to innovate and create interactive formats. - Organised and reliable - track commitments in systems and ensure deadlines don't slip. - Able to work autonomously in a remote environment with support from the Senior Conference Producer and other team members. - Able to travel to London, New York, and Berlin for our events. Benefits - 10% + bonus. - Budget for full or part-time coworking space if desired.
