Finance Counselor I

SNHU Careers

• Inbound and Outbound phone coverage • Work with students and contacts according to SNHU's culture and brand behaviors to support the mission of the university • Apply financial aid, billing and registrar policies to all student interactions • Help students develop a financial strategy for their education and achieve their goal of graduation • Provide excellent customer service to our online students over the phone (80%), by email (15%), and > 5% in person. • Document student interactions in customer relationship manager • Participate in daily outbound calling campaigns as assigned • Partner with departments outside of Financial Aid including Admissions and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student • Meet expectations for Monthly Metrics and call reviews

Job Requirements

  • Experience in a customer service related field and the knowledge of writing professional communications in a previous role.
  • Some college credits must be completed
  • Reliable high speed internet
  • Your at home work space is distraction free during working hours to maintain focus for the success of this position.
  • 1+ years of related experience with financial aid, billing, and registrar functions preferably in a higher education environment or contact center.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Hazleton Continuing Education is seeking applicants to serve as a Counselor for various youth programs on Penn State Hazleton's Campus. The Youth Counselor’s primary task is to assist the Instructor with daily functions to ensure that each participant is provided a quality and enjoyable learning experience. The Youth Counselor will report to the Interim Regional Lead for Continuing Education at Penn State Scranton and staff as designated at the Penn State Hazleton Campus. Youth Counselor responsibilities include: - Being attentive to participants safety; - Being available to provide assistance in the classroom; - Providing feedback.
