Finance Assistant, Mandarin Speaking

Spreetail

• Produce detailed invoices for Platform Services customers, with supporting documentation in line with contracted terms. • Pull billing and cost data from multiple systems and teams (Outbound, Operations, Warehouse) each week and consolidate it into a sensible, well-organised format. • Check every billing file and invoice for formula accuracy, internal consistency, and alignment with the contract before it moves forward, including a final sense check for anything that looks unusual. • Submit billing files and invoices for internal approval, then issue approved invoices directly to customers. • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on invoice calculations, queries, and contract terms. Work closely with Platform Services account managers to investigate and resolve customer billing queries. Communicate directly with Chinese-speaking customer contacts in Mandarin to clarify billing details and resolve issues.

Job Requirements

  • Highly intelligent, diligent, and detail-obsessed, comfortable being the final check before money moves. Able to work to tight, non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Confident working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with high volumes of data across multiple sources. Experience creating invoices or other customer-facing financial documents. Understanding of a P&L and how billing feeds into it.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel (formulas, lookups, and large data sets).
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, spoken and written, to a business standard. Able to work UK hours (8:15–17:15)

Role Description Reporting to the Faculty Lead (or Program Director), the Part-Time Faculty member teaches and engages students within a particular discipline for which they are qualified. Essential Functions: Instruction and Engagement - Teach Students and Assess Their Work in the Trident Learning Community (TLC): - Convey command of and enthusiasm for the course content by providing insight and sharing expertise with the class throughout the course. - Use the grading rubrics to provide detailed feedback on student assignments based upon the assignment criteria. - Broaden and deepen students' understanding of the course material by posting prompts and responses in the course discussions. - Engage Students Regularly and in a Timely Fashion: - Communicate with the class as a whole at the beginning of each module to engage students in the course materials and the class. - Welcome all students, encouraging them to get started and provide initial guidance. - Create a welcoming and comfortable environment and maintain a professional, positive, and respectful tone through multiple communication channels. - Respond to communications received from students within 24 hours during the business week. - Grade students' assignments within 72 hours of their submission during the business week. - Reach out and offer to help students who have not logged into the course within the first few days. - Post and respond regularly in course discussions to guide the discussion and provide feedback. - Administer: - Perform routine duties in a timely fashion, without prompting or reminders. - Respond to e-mail and/or phone correspondence from your Faculty Lead and/or Program Director within 24 hours during the business week. - Work closely with your Faculty Lead and/or Program Director to resolve student academic questions, complaints, and concerns. - Enforce academic policies as detailed in the current university catalog. - Implement college and/or program-specific procedures and protocols through communications with the class. - Review and approve requests for regular course extensions submitted through the TLC portal. - Grade assignments submitted by students with approved course extensions in a timely manner. - Report any basic issues with the course materials to your Faculty Lead or Program Director immediately. - Actively participate in: - Student retention efforts. - Periodic asynchronous faculty development activities. - Encouraged (but not required) to: - Provide substantive feedback to improve course content and the curriculum. - Participate in periodic Program, College, and University meetings.
