• Lead end-to-end contract development and execution for complex procurement activities. • Independently negotiate commercial terms, conditions, pricing structures, payment terms, liabilities, warranties, insurance requirements, and contractual risk allocation. • Review, interpret, and negotiate supplier-proposed contract terms and exceptions. • Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies. • Partner with legal teams when required to resolve complex contractual issues. • Independently develop and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and competitive procurement processes. • Develop sourcing strategies, bid packages, evaluation criteria, and commercial evaluation models. • Coordinate supplier communications, clarification processes, evaluations, and recommendation summaries. • Lead contract award recommendations and support stakeholder approvals. • Manage multiple active contracts and procurement activities simultaneously. • Maintain contract documentation, approvals, amendments, and change management records. • Monitor contract performance, compliance, milestones, and deliverables. • Support contract renewals, extensions, claims, disputes, and closeout activities. • Act as the primary contracts point of contact for assigned business areas and projects. • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, operations, finance, and suppliers. • Provide commercial guidance and contracting expertise throughout project execution. • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. • Manage a portfolio of approximately 15–30 active contract activities at various stages of development and execution. • Prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. • Provide regular status reporting on contract activities, risks, and upcoming milestones.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of contract, procurement, or commercial management experience.
  • Strong experience negotiating terms and conditions, pricing, scope, and risk allocation.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle RFPs from development through contract award.
  • Experience managing operational contracts including maintenance, consulting, services, goods, and master service agreements.
  • Ability to independently manage 15–30 concurrent contract activities.
  • Experience working with operations, maintenance teams, suppliers, and diverse business stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience in mining, energy, industrial operations, or large-scale projects preferred.
  • Experience with contract risk management, legal reviews, and contract management systems preferred.
  • SCMP, CIPS, CPCM, or equivalent certification is an asset.
