• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs that power Wikidata’s query infrastructure • Improve reliability, observability, and automation of the Wikidata Query Service and data pipelines • Integrate Wikidata Platform services with other systems and data sources across Wikimedia • Collaborate with SRE, data engineers, and product teams to ensure stability and scalability under growing usage • Monitor production systems, respond to operational incidents, and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks • Support platform migrations and system upgrades • Contribute to deployment automation, CI/CD workflows, and service instrumentation • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning • Document systems and share knowledge with team members and Wikimedia’s broader technical community

• Performing day-to-day operational/DevOps tasks on Wikimedia’s public facing infrastructure (deployment, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting) • Implementing and utilizing configuration management and deployment tools (Puppet, Kubernetes) • Leading continuous improvement, by automating the installation, configuration and maintenance of services on our platform • Working closely with product teams helping them bring scalable functionality to our users by assisting in the architectural design of new services and making them operate at scale • Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation shared across the broader SRE team. This includes taking part in incident response, diagnosis and follow-up on system outages or alerts across Wikimedia’s production infrastructure. • Collaborating with a global, cross-functional team in an asynchronous communication environment • Mentoring peers in your areas of technical and operational strength

• Manage and coordinate a portfolio of People Department initiatives and projects. • Develop and maintain project plans, workback schedules, timelines, milestones, and dependency maps. • Track project status, risks, issues, and decisions across multiple concurrent initiatives. • Facilitate project governance activities, status reviews, and stakeholder meetings. • Create and maintain project dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into progress and outcomes. • Support prioritization and planning activities by providing project insights, resource considerations, and implementation recommendations. • Partner with the Director to translate strategic priorities into executable project plans. • Coordinate activities associated with People transformation initiatives. • Monitor project deliverables, milestones, and implementation activities to ensure successful execution. • Conduct assessment and documentation of current-state People Department processes and workflows.

• Coordinate robust donor acquisition initiatives through innovative digital outreach, multi-channel direct response, and strategic audience expansion. • Lead 360-degree portfolio initiatives to maximize lifetime value, balancing donor retention and attrition-reduction strategies. • Partner with Fundraising and Product teams to optimize donor experiences, audience segmentation, and lifecycle journeys across acquisition and retention funnels. • Design tailored journeys to deliver an optimal experience that supports lead generation, donor conversion and retention among new and existing audiences. • Develop upgrade and cross-sell strategies to increase donor lifetime value. • Oversee end-to-end campaign implementation, conducting complex data selections and segmentation, ensuring strong execution. • Continually refine supporter touchpoints ensuring all individual giving communications are donor-focused and aligned across channels. • Monitor KPIs, produce reports, and adjust tactics to meet revenue and volume targets related to acquisition, retention, attrition, upgrade, and lifetime value. • Support forecasting, performance projections, and ROI tracking across acquisition and specialized giving streams. • Partner with the data team to ensure analysis supports strategic decision-making. • Collaborate in donor research initiatives (e.g., user testing, surveys, focus groups) to inform program improvements. • Support the Audience Strategy team in holistic initiatives aiming to enhance donor retention, upgrade opportunities and increase donor lifetime value. • Work closely with colleagues across Fundraising to ensure activities are coordinated, strategic, and supporter-centric.

• Translate organization materials from English into Italian • Review the translation work of others in your language for quality • Provide translations of common Wikimedia terms

• Engage and grow online communities for Wikipedia and Wikimedia Foundation. • Develop tone-of-voice guidelines for social media presence. • Identify real-time cultural moments and connect with audiences. • Contribute to community management playbook for Wikipedia. • Track and report on engagement performance and community sentiment.

• Identify and secure new partnerships with existing and new technology platform partners. • Collaborating closely with Product and Design teams, define and execute on a portfolio of non-commercial value exchange partnerships that advance the P&T department’s strategic goals. • Assist in designing and and securing pilots with high-priority Wikimedia content reusers to drive attribution visibility by adopting the Wikimedia Attribution Framework and API. • Coordinate across teams and departments to build and maintain an up-to-date partner and opportunity pipeline. • Manage partnership processes and artifacts, including drafting LOI/MOUs, CRM management, creating pitch decks, and coordinating with other Partnerships staff across departments and teams. • Attend relevant conferences, events, and gatherings to represent the needs of our organization and share back industry intelligence on product and technology trends.

Inclusive of employee relations, talent review, organization design and performance management. • Operating as a thought partner to managers and leaders, and being able to influence by presenting solutions in ways that are heard, understood and supported. Engaging with honesty and integrity to constructively address issues, in order to create and maintain trust. • Organizational Development and Design: builds and maintains strong relationships with teams and leaders as a foundation for diagnosing, designing, and implementing large and small scale solutions that improve employee engagement, retention, leadership development, org culture, and productivity. • Collaborating with other HRBPs and People Centers of Excellence (Recruiting, People Growth & Belonging, Learning & Development, Compensation and Operations), implementing solutions to meet changing business and talent needs to support the Foundation and team objectives, proposing plans which build capability, and delivering against the strategic initiatives of the People department.

• Helping to identify the right problems we need to solve, and guiding our work to where it will have the highest impact. • Leading the development of new products, features, and other technical interventions that make it hard and expensive for bad actors to undermine the security and privacy guarantees we make to our users. • Driving a cross-functional team including engineering, design, data science, community management, and other functions, to iteratively create and deploy these changes. • Driving product planning and feature prioritization with a focus on user impact, while using data and community feedback to drive decisions. • Proactively seeking ideas and feedback from user communities before and throughout product development, and generally maintaining strong and candid relationships with these communities on behalf of WMF and the PSI team. • Maintaining an understanding of current technologies and developments in online safety, security, and privacy.
