Role Description The Legal Analyst- Contracts help draft, negotiate, and manage client agreements that support Indeed's business engagements with public sector clients. This role partners closely with Sales, Public Sector Strategy, HR, Compliance, Finance, and cross-functional teams to review contract terms, ensure compliance with government procurement requirements, and enable efficient deal execution while mitigating risk. - Manage requests and contract lifecycles from intake through advice and/or execution. - Draft and negotiate customer agreements (including government contracts subject to FAR/DFARS requirements). - Maintain contract management systems. - Balance day-to-day contract review and negotiation with process improvement initiatives that increase contracting efficiency and reduce turnaround time. Qualifications - Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience. - Excellent institutional memory; ability to apply past precedents and context to new requests to ensure a unified legal approach. - Comfortable navigating various LLM interfaces (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to manage high-volume, repetitive tasks; skilled in prompt engineering and content auditing to maintain high-quality outputs. - Excellent communication skills with an ability to be professional, clear, and adjust to different audiences. - Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively while handling sensitive and confidential information. - Ability to manage one’s own workload and prioritize appropriately when faced with ambiguity. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Requirements - Manage and triage requests for legal review from business teams, maintaining excellent ticket hygiene, data accuracy, and documentation. - Conduct investigations, prepare summaries, and present findings and risk considerations to attorneys to support legal analysis and decision-making. - Translate complex legal guidance into clear, actionable advice for cross-functional partners and track implementation to ensure completion. - Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing complex and ambiguous projects with minimal supervision. - Support the development and delivery of compliance-related trainings and materials. - Proactively identify and implement improvements to legal workflows, documentation standards, and intake systems to increase team throughput. - Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for specific legal operations domains, providing guidance to business partners and mentoring peers.
