Role Description The Territory/Account Manager (TAM) - Sports Optics is responsible for managing the ZEISS Sports Optics sales and retail distribution efforts associated with an assigned territory – including the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be highly driven and have considerable experience managing sell-in and sell-out strategy for a specific territory and account list, a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets within a set budget, and the ability to contribute and thrive within a close-knit team environment. Here’s what you’ll do: - Rifles: Strong understanding of various types and their intended applications. - Ammunition, ballistics understanding – and why they matter. - Birding knowledge (desirable). - Optic knowledge (very desirable). - Seasoned direct-sales experience working within prescribed territory and account base. - Strategic account planning for maximizing each account. - Goal setting, forecasting, support planning and execution. - Strong ability to manage the relationship remotely and in-person. - Extensive travel anticipated (valid Passport will be needed). - Effective Communication – Internal and External. - Written, verbal. - Training (ability and willingness to teach others). - Presentation (qualifying, presenting solutions, closing, and product demonstrations). - Provides accounts with reminders and updates of all brand/product collateral. Qualifications - 5+ years direct account management experience. - Proficiency in managing an extensive portfolio of customers. - Proven experience flourishing in a fast-paced team environment. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent highly preferred. - Proactive solution-finder. - Entrepreneurial spirit. - Team-oriented (able to work as part of a team and support that team). - Passion for success, driven, and hungry to develop business and product knowledge. - Accountability (strong follow-through, ownership of assigned expectations). - Independently resourceful. - Seeking improvement opportunities in quality, service, and business. - Able to see and contribute to the bigger picture. - Track record of sales growth targets. - Balance Company and account need for a fair and profitable outcome. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and Excel (critical). - Experience with SalesForce / CRM (not required but preferred). - Experience with SAP (not required but helpful). • Create new revenue by building partnerships, opening new customer segments, activating the sales team, overseeing channel growth, and finding creative ways to expand Jam+'s ecommerce businesses beyond traditional site traffic and paid media • Build and manage a pipeline of strategic partnerships, vertical sales opportunities, and new commercial programs • Lead high-value outreach and model the urgency expected from the team • Own and expand in-progress deals, identify new companies, platforms, and communities for co-marketing opportunities • Develop campaigns for identified market segments like associations, schools, procurement groups, and nonprofits • Partner with cross-functional teams to support new opportunities • Own a clear pipeline/revenue dashboard and report regularly to the CEO
• Develop and execute Partnership Strategy: Create and implement the strategy for acquiring and managing key partnerships, aligned with the company’s growth objectives. • Identification and validation of strategic partners: Conduct market research to identify new potential partners, including technology platforms, complementary solution providers, and other B2B alliances. • Negotiation and deal closure: Lead negotiations with strategic partners, promoting a long-term vision and structuring mutually beneficial agreements. • Manage partner relationships: Ensure partners are engaged and receive the necessary support to maximize the impact of their partnerships on business development. • Alignment of objectives and results: Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, and support) to ensure alignment of goals and integration of solutions within partnership channels. • Monitor partnership performance: Track and report on the performance of partnerships, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continuous growth.
